Favourites and Sentiment

So King is now picking the team and leaving out players the club just paid tens of millions for?
No of course not, however there must be a reason why we started with 8 championship players yesterday and as you said left millions of pounds worth of signings on the bench

Maybe they haven't integrated yet, maybe they aren't up to speed physically, maybe they simply aren't good enough, maybe Lampard was asked to give the Championship players a chance first

Saturdays lineup will be interesting

They’re average at best. They have McBurnie which is a big differentiator from us. But we’ll not finish far apart
McBurnie's shite.

He'd also have the same problem in our team as Awoniyi does; there are no runners when he holds the ball up.

Something that's pissing me off, which is probably minor in the grand scheme of things, is King keeps calling this 'the Coventry way'.

It isn't at all. Robins built multiple teams dragging us up the leagues with no room for sentiment. He took a lot of shit for it as well when he sacked off fan favourites and then had the inevitable slow start the following season while the new players all gelled. But it worked in the long run.

At this point, just as well we have the favourites at the club still as we’re going to need them next season.

Most people/neutrals I know think that Hull have been extremely lucky this season, yet on here they’re one of the greatest PL sides ever seen.

Against Chelsea they had luck with the pen not given against them, they missed a couple of sitters themselves. I think the difference is they are giving it a go and don't look scared. The bad luck will probably end and they will get figured out with how they play but beating Man Utd and a draw with Chelsea seems like a distant dream for us.

Thought they won @Cheisea ?🤔

I wonder if the players and management team will show Sentiment when we get relegated and try and fight to get us back up?

I doubt it and any sniff of a move to a prem team they will jump
Who do you think is going to have a Prem team look at them and say "yep, he's exactly what we need!"
