What did you expect to learn no one with the answers would turn up even all the players were too busy.

Not for us it isn't. It's more about thank god they finally are and encourage them rather than criticise.
Also encourage anyone doing anything that isn't violent, criminal or inappropriate.
FairPlay to anyone who dies anything.
I recall Tirch putting his posters up at Sixfields.
Too many he would have been better off not been there in the first place.
However once there he did his own Little bit.
So unless you have genuine reason that the CET's plan is to destroy the club forever. Then I don't care what has brought them to the party I am just glad they are here.
Any action for me is good and should be encouraged

Not really, surely you have to wonder why are they suddenly going all out? What's behind it? Why only now?

So if if Cov Rugby club stormed out of the Butts tomorrow and moved to Northampton. Announcing that they were not returning and were building another stadium. Leaving the Butts empty.
If we then bought it and moved in. Then it transpired that Cov Rugby club were bluffing and tried to come back long term. Whikst dragging us into legal action they decided to take against CCC.

If SISU then just looked after CCFC and were not helpful towards the rugby club. You would I assume stop supporting CCFC?

Agree completely with this. Couldn't care less what the motivation is so long as it helps CCFC.

Losing fans every week. Better things to do on a Saturday.

Clive mentioning the advert for an operations director. Trying to put a positive slant on things.

The only time that happened that I can think of was during our time at Sixfields. The club didn't intend to do it. It just happened. Likewise with Cov and Sphinx. Understandably with an extra few quid in the pockets of 8-10000 people every fortnight attendances went up everywhere. I even know of a fair few that went to St Andrews. I did myself some weekends.

Not really I would be more focused on what's best for CCFC. I happen to believe that is our current owners moving on. So I am happy the CET are asking for the same.
Unless you can tell me that their motives fur doing this are to harm CCFC. Can't see why it's more important to know why they have started positive action than encouraging them in said action.

Surely that isn't the same as a random team nobody had links with moving in?*

Do you think SISU are going to sell up because of the petition?

How long do you think it will go on for until the Telegraph run out of ex players or people linked to get in touch with via social media to say the same thing over and over?

If next week or next month SISU sell the club to a fantastic new owner then I will more than eat my words, take everything back and apologise profusely for being wrong.

Is nobody at all wondering why all of a sudden are they going all out? What flicked the switch?

Who knows what flicked the switch as brought up tonight they actually came in to late should have done it earlier.
Anyway should they just keep quiet and hope it will go away while they are not watching .
Funny thing is thou the Observer haven't come to Sisu's defence as they usually do what do you think has triggered that then Nick?

What do I think has triggered something that hasn't happened?

Surely they could have done it years ago if it was just about the club? The last time was when Haskell was being touted wasn't it?

I don't think SISU will sell up if everybody does nothing. Except sitting back and criticising when anybody else does anything.
Yes I think petitions, protests, NOPM, MP's publicity. No matter how great or small will all have a impact in SISU's decision making.
The primary factor will always be money. However all of the above affect money as well and when you come down to the timing of the enivitable the above factors will have an influence.
So can you tell me why it is more important to know why the telegraph believe it is time for the owners to move on. Than it is to be glad they are trying to do stuff to encourage the owners to move on?

If everyone followed your logic then no one would do anything. On the basis that their campaign probably won't get rid of Sisu, it seems you are saying they shouldn't even try. If it doesn't work it will still have been worth trying. One thing that has happened is that it seems to have galvanised fans groups and got things moving. Still probably won't work but better than sitting complaining but do nothing.

So I am wrong to know what the agenda is behind it? I could be wrong in my thinking and just being too cynical and they could be doing out of their love for CCFC and nothing else.

It is just strange that when asked about a campaign to save the academy a couple of weeks before they didn't want to know, the same with asking about promoting the Legacy Fund link to help sell some merchandise.

As for the MP's publicity, without googling can you tell me what they discussed this week in the same place they will be discussing CCFC?

That was posted to someone else who said you can't support Wasps and Cov, because Wasps are profiting out of CCFC's demise.
If the Rugby club ditched the butts moved to another city, slagged it off said they were not coming back and building their own stadium.
I don't think too many people would stop supporting CCFC. If SISU moved us in there and then we're not very helpful towards the rugby club.

Yes, but the difference is they would have supported CCFC for their whole lives rather than it being a random team they have no links to at all. Surely?

I think you are wrong (IMO) to criticise everything the CET do that encourages our owners to leave, because you believe there is a secret reason that is motivating them to do it.
You could always say great campaign CET about time. We need more of this get your asses in gear.
Would love to know what's suddenly motivated you though?
As oppose to this is rubbish, it won't make a difference, negative, negative, negative. Why aren't they raising money for charity at the same time, negative, negative. The owners of the club have refused to turn up, negative, negative. It's all a waste of time ranting, negative negative.
All because you don't think you know the truth as to why the CET have suddenly kicked into gear.

Exactly and thinking that you don't know the 'real' reason why the CET have kicked into gear doesn't justify continuous negativity towards anything positive they do, especially when it involves others IMO.

Suddenly motivated me to what? be a CCFC fan? Strangely enough I have been one for years.

How is it negative to ask why they didn't promote the Jimmy Hill Legacy Fund? It isn't like it is just being asked with hindsight is it? Have a look at threads on here about the Legacy Fund and see how everybody agrees on them all. Still, we can all play on the heart strings by using his name in as many articles as possible to make it harder hitting, not interested in the charity setup in his name though....

Why is it negative to have asked them to help with a campaign about saving the academy?

Just saying go over and over again won't make them go, they need a way out don't they? If there is a fantastic new owner waiting, then I would be straight on with promoting that and fully behind getting them in.

It should be a "get a new great owner in and live happily ever" thing rather than "get somebody out".

So what's your theory Nick. Or don't you have one?

You are always posing questions and innuendos about the CT, CCC, Wasps etc. and yet you never provide any facts or evidence to back them up. Stop hinting about some sinister dark forces aiming to hurt SISU and provide some actual facts, or at least a hypothesis. Currently you are sounding like some crazy conspiracy theorist.

SISU get practically a clean slate from you despite plenty of evidence pointing to their destruction of the club. Yet you never make similar innuendos about their behavior.

Nobody has a clean slate do they?

I couldn't give a shit if the CT, CCC and Wasps all got together and tag teamed SISU with no lube as long as it didn't have an impact on CCFC. I have been one of the people saying to go at SISU directly rather than going at CCFC to get to SISU haven't I?

I have posted questions, I haven't said anything as fact or a statement. Have people really been too wrapped up with jumping on it to wonder what's behind it and why now?
