F1 2026

Funny how that wasn't a consideration when they wanted Verstappen to win his first title.
The whole yellow flag situation is open to misuse, a team or driver needs to finish ahead of the driver in front to win a championship, what's to stop the other team member crashing off track causing a yellow flag and the situation where the field all catch up to eachother and a mad lap like the one you mention, why they can't just limit the speed of the cars as one and maintain the gaps is beyond me

If Aston Martin get any slower, they might as well not bother turning up.

They'd better hope this B-spec car delivers something.

Don't know if true or not but I did wonder a bit ehen it happened at a certain team and I think at the time a Ferrari benifitted.
Don't know if anything was at stake though.
Better not mention corrupt though with what's been going on with FIFA.

Seems there was another cock up with a yellow flag today. It was meant to be shown for something in the pit lane, yet somehow it ended up visible from the track and so several drivers backed off their final Q3 laps for something they didn't need to.

Reading deeper, maybe it was just Leclerc affected.

not a bad race but this is a track where DRS is a big miss down the straight into first corner (in racing and entertaiment terms)

I know it's not F1 although they are now owned by same company but I've just seen that tickets for this weekend's motogp at Silverstone start at £165. No idea if this is to cash in on latecomers & how much weekend tickets were but I thought prices at all 22 rounds were similar, we paid just over £100 for weekend tickets at Assen in 2022 sitting at end of start/finish straight. Could be another poor attendance at Silverstone 🤔

I was braced when Max went in the wall, thought we were going to see a number of cars getting wiped out. How Bortoleto kept it out the wall, and didn't get collected by his teammate, I don't know.

Very lucky escape.

The trophy for this race is rubbish. Some Coffee shop in Monza is probably missing a few cups.

Looks like they may need to put some extreme wets on for the restart judging by the amount of tears flowing in the grandstands. Good grief!

I like the guy, but Charles will never be champion. Doesn't have the mentality to go a whole season in a title fight, too many mistakes. Cracks under Pressure too much.

Russell being absolutely shown up by Kimi

I don't think anything was stopping Kimi winning that race, even if Russell had got a pit stop.

Can't help but feel McLaren did themselves out of a podium there with their papaya rules. Verstappen's pace fell off a cliff for some reason and they just raced each other instead.

Ferrari doing Ferrari things and doing absolutely nothing to help Lewis today. Even when he's the only car in the race, they still manage to fumble it.
