8th is probably about where we deserve to be based on how we've played this season, if not a bit high. 3rd was always a false position. We're simply not good enough for the automatics, and I doubt based on what I've seen, that we'll make the play-offs with the current squad.

Give over. We've dominated teams, we've been on a good run and we've lost a game. Shit happens. Win next week, get back in the playoffs.

From what I've seen both keepers have clangers in them. How's rcc doing? Clean sheet today, sure

Burge has made these dunb mistakes for years. Maybe obrien can stamp them out? Worth giving him a chance

I haven't seen us against a single team except Luton & Accrington, where I've actually thought they were any better then average. We have been largely poor this season, but I wouldn't say it's a false position after playing over half the season.

From what I saw a point would have been a fair result. We looked a bit leggy and a couple of players need a rest.
The league table is irrelevant at this stage, you can't on the one hand say 3rd is a false position but 8th isn't when it's this tight.

Did you see him again Stoke? Came for a cross that barely made it into the 18 yard box. Hes a disaster. Both keepers need replacing.

Have to agree, we should have been on the look out for one the summer before TM's first full season.

Look end of the day we don’t have enough firepower or creativity to hit consistent form .
One striker can’t score so if the other striker don’t score we drop points most of the time .
Robins needs to figure out a plan A let alone B , long ball for flick Ons seems the tactic and tbh it’s awful to watch .

The good news is that after our previous 3 defeats we bounced straight back with a win! Our away form is putting a lot of pressure on our home form though. 3 away defeats in 4 games.

Who have we dominated? Must have been watching different games to me. We've not won a game by more than one goal since October and we've only got one player in the squad who looks capable of scoring. That's not the makings of a team who are going to get promoted. It's not like we've got any money to spend this month either to properly improve the squad, just have to cross our fingers and hope some kids from the higher leagues are going to be magic world beaters.

Burge is the better of the 2. But they're both dreadful. Both need replacing.

I am going to say this without pre conceptions , we need a striker who can score, as well as help Macca . We will fail unless we get a seasoned pro into the team who actually can score. Waxing lyrical about Biamou is not going to get goals.

Its so close we have to do it very quickly or we fail.

I'm pretty certain the long hoof is related to the state of the pitch. On a flat surface/decent pitch, I think we'll attempt to play out from the back a bit more, but with the current state of the Ricoh and at any other similar pitches )like today). we will have to put up with it. Therefore a 'Biamou' type player needs to be on the pitch, if so.

Let's be honest we've learned nothing new today, the teams still short on certain aspects and shown we've players fit got there level.

Consistency is a issue, but that's the level...
We've no way of retaining the ball in the attacking 3rd when Biamou is taken off....
Goals are a issue in the side...
we're a few players short currently of a side fit to challenge for the autos.

Is it doom and gloom, no.
The leagues full of shock results welly and we've lost to a side on a good run of form at home and Chesterfield beat free scoreing luton.

Gifting goals and points has to stop tho in order the make the play offs.

12 points from goal keeping errors alone this season.

The bottom line is if we don't score we don't win, the amount of games we have lost this season by 1 goal could so easily have been turned around IF we had a goalscorer taking chances, I know we are in the bottom tier and McNulty to his credit has picked up a few lately but did he get 1 of his chances on target today? I missed the 1st half so not sure but he fluffed at least 3 chances 2nd half...didn't even trouble the keeper.

We are creating some chances but we need someone up front with McNulty who CAN score...he will pay for himself in no time at all..
Luton have more of a +goal difference than we have scored

If we win res tof janusry gsmes we will be on cloud 9 to be fair. Maguire drew looks ok. Hopefully barrett will be good. Made 1 incisive forward pass today which gives us hope

Fast winger and steiker still needed. Kelly snd vincente back soon will help

Alex Revel would be ideal.

Players like that don't become available readily tho in January!

I missed the match completely and am currently not enjoying my lunch. That's not a good result and we've dropped a few places. Looking on the positive side we're only three points off third.

I haven't ignored anything. He made a good save, You could go through the past 20 games and pick out any number of good saves that Burge has done. People were saying O'Brien was the best thing since slice bread after keeping 3 or 4 clean sheets despite not having a shot against us. The first and second thing he does results in goals against us. First throwing the ball in his own net and then coming out when he had no right too at Yeovil, his decision making is poor at best, all 4 goals we've conceded from keeper errors (Burge & O'Brien) have cost us games we should be doing better in. O'Brien has played in less then 10 games for us and I can count at least 4 major fuck ups already. He is not the answer (neither is Burge). Just don't make out O'Brien is something he isn't.

I find it quite strange how both keepers have done the same errors, long distance tame shot they let slip through their fingers and coming for balls they had no right to come for.

Burge need to be current number 1 as he makes less mistakes. They both need to go and be replaced, the quicker the better.

We've not seen enough of Liam O'Brien yet to rule him out.

He's still inexperienced as a player and open to development

A point today would have been a good result for us. Poor decision making in final ball into the box and shooting at the wrong time...you name it but our attacking play is our weakest point.

Need to address this quickly and consistently to stay in the pack till the end of the season.
