I’m sure everyone was quaking their boots after Portugal came 3rd in their Group in 2016. The same team that failed to get a win against Iceland, Hungary and Australia won the championship.

We’ve got a good chance of progressing deep in this championship, but we’re by no means the best team in Europe at this point.

As it stands we're most likely to be playing Germany at Wembley in the R16.

I wish England approached tournament games like Wales. With our quality we'd win more with their energy.

Italy could get 3 or 4 as Wales tire out in the 2nd half

I want Italy to get a few more and the Swiss too but there is no real chance of Wales going out is there? Just a harder opponent from finishing 3rd.

Somebody mentioned a rule change regarding throw - ins? I was unaware of this but clearly that is the case.
Thing is - How on earth does this rule change concerning the discipline, 'benefit' the game?

Finish 3rd and it's likely Belgium. Sweden or France for them

Shame. I know they’ve made 8 changes, but first team to make Italy work hard.

The one game I'd probably want Wales to win.

Poor decision, it always looks worse in slow mo, the Italian was too quick for him. Should have gone to var to get. Yellow card.

Slowed down it looks like the Sterling incident which would be yellow but he was at full pace and went straight into him, possible ankle breaker and a red all day

VAR checked and Peter Walton explained the rules. It's a red card

I'd prefer the ref to look at those types of decisions rather than a var official.

The ref had the perfect view to begin with. It was a definite red.
