terrible innings so far, Morgans shot was especially poor.

It must be the end of Vince in an England shirt too. He's had a lot of chances and failed to take them Hopefully Roy is back for Sunday

Getting murdered, 3 quick wickets then a daft Bairstow shot. Need a miracle (again)

I don’t think it’s the last we will see if Vince unfortunately they have a real blind spot to him.

England are finished.
You just can't have three top-order batsmen each get out for less than 10 runs.
They should all be shooting for 50 as a minimum, even if takes a bit longer to get there.
The bowlers did their job but the batsmen are hopeless.

Moeen Ali needs to play the innings of his life.
I'm not confident. He's flopped so many times.
We need 9 runs per over, which is more than any Aussie bowler has conceded so far.

There he goes for a measly 6. Pathetic!
Can Archer bat? I'd heard he could,

Australia have Starc who is the best bowler in the tournament by a mile. Take him out and they wouldn’t have a hope

England still only probably need 1 win if New Zealand win tomorrow and could well
Be 4th and play New Zealand in the semis

No, Archer can't bat. Out for 1.
Win predictor now says England 0%, Australia 100%.

Let's look on the bright side.
We're not as bad as Afghanistan.

Poor batting again. Roy injury (and Hales suspension) been a big factor.
It's still the poor losses to Pakistan and Sri Lanka going to cost us.
Poor with the new ball this am in good conditions costly. Don't think this is a particularly good Aussie one day side.

Not the best result for us today. Pakistan have Afghanistan and Bangladesh to play so could easily end up on 11 points.

Need India to beat Bangladesh otherwise whoever wins the Pakistan v Bangladesh game will end up on 11 points meaning we need to win both our games.

(Assuming I've got my maths right which is far from guaranteed!)

Sort of but Sri Lanka could also win all their 3 games

Haven't we got 8 points? Assuming Pakistan will beat Afghanistan and Bangladesh, if that happens that then gives them 11,

Won't we have to win both? 1 win would leave us on 10.

Nah, Pakistan are in form! Weirdly they have had the exact results in the same order when they won the cup the last time!

Massive weekend for England. Pakistan will win tomorrow which means we need to pull a massive result out against India. India have been steady and did enough to win each game but have looked in trouble in some Games so who knows. We need to build confidence and hopefully Roy will be back

He may need to be Roy of the Rovers for us to win both the next two.

Hopefully we have got our act together.

I know it's not just one thing, but I keep thinking back to that Sri Lankan game. Ali hit a 6 and the run rate was then below a run a ball. We had the game pretty much in the bag. Just needed level heads.

Ali though went for another 6 next ball and holed out and it changed the game.

We’re either going to come into form at just the right time or fuck it up completely

Yeah, probably right. Don't even think it would be a gallant defeat. I think it will be shit or bust. A great victory, or a dismal falure.

Well Pakistan should be gone - dropped catch LBW not given - they may scrape through but they look a poor batting outfit when under the sword

Don't know much about the Afghanistan bowling line-up, but I thought a couple of overs ago that, that Gulbadin looked rather inept.

They had them by the scruff of the neck and now it could be lost.

They have one of the top two in the world - there is a lot of unrest in the team - the captain is hated by the former captain - the best batsman was sent home early - the star batsman bats at 7 - they should have won the game

And to be fair Hasim Hamid is a good bowler who only could bowl 2 overs

From what I recall, Gulbadin served up a nice juicy full toss that went for 4 in one over and then the next over he dished up another one and that went for 4 too and he went on to concede 18 in that over.

That was the former captain out there trying to organise and direct things I believe.

They threw this game away. Pity, as it would have been such a boost to them as a cricketing nation.

Poor captaincy. Let India back in by bowling average seam at the end and same today.
Not a good Pakistan side. If Roy could have held that dolly it'd probably be academic by now.

Ridden our luck a bit, but now we are in we are looking good.

I always worry that one wicket could start a flurry though.
