Because having a cheeky wank over fake taxi is obviously the same as sexually assaulting children.

That mate I've got that had a scrap outside ikon in 2003, just as bad as saville.
Nope wrong again
Don’t you worry I’m sure you’ll never have to deal with anyone in your friendship group.

Did you read it -

Don’t worry about me I’m just trying to do my best to reduce danger to women and children

We all have those things we are passionate about and it’s a good thing we don’t all the share the same ones.

Yeah it's really reducing the risk by sympathising, defending and comparing it to somebody having a wank. Let's face it, what you are posting is no better than people defending grooming gangs.

That self awareness I said a couple of pages back..

Just nonsense but I understand why you would say that
There’s no defending grooming gangs there’s no defending any sexual offences or criminal activity
There’s no sympathising with either pr equivalence other than what you’re implying
For some people with addictions they escalate it’s not hard to understand unless you don’t want to

Hate to break it to you. You are sympathising with nonces. You're also trying to play it down.

Don't worry, I'm sure you can blame farage next time he uses the wrong stamp.

And this one Andy

there is a real danger that the risk is increased by taking nicks binary approach. He’s not wrong he’s just misinformed

Not clicked on the first link you’ve sent me (I’m on the way to the game, after all!) but a very brief skim-read of this it’s talking about sex offenders in general, not nonces.

Will look at the other one later.

The Washington Post situation is disgusting IMO. Jeff Bezos fired more than 300 people, many of whom work abroad, some in active war zones, and just left them stranded.

Fired colleagues that work in the US are now having to crowd fund to get them home.

McSweeney gone, long overdue. Good recruitment of his replacement is vital now.
I agree he should be removed, he isn't elected and had far too much power and influence without it seems any oversight.
I'm not optimistic his replacement will be any less good.

Update the role is being filled by these 2 apparantly. They were McSweeny's deputies.

If he goes who is next in the hotseat. Burnham is out as he got blocked, Raynor is still under investigation, Streeting is Mandelson's protege so presumably he would be out.

Reeves is far from popular, Lammy is useless (although to be fair that applies to most of parliament), Miliband isn't getting another go.

Then you're into the likes of Kendall, Nandy, Copper and Phillipson.

Its not exactly inspiring is it?

Rayner or Miliband imo. The latter is popular with Labour members and as you say, Rayner is under investigation for her tax affairs.

Rayner is also on record calling on Sunak to call a GE after his coronation as PM… There’s always a tweet!

One of the only things keeping Starmer in post for this long is the lack of a clear and obvious successor.

Exactly. If the PLP force the issue they're signing their own P45 - under any of these contenders the party's likely to collapse to rump at GE.

Burnham timed his run a few months too early- can/will he try again in May?

What a shitshow. Miliband who was previously rejected by the country even after it had 5 years of austerity under the coalition and Rayner who resigned due to her tax affairs and who’s former department is overseeing the lowest housing starts for years (decades in some areas).

I'd rather have Miliband than any other of the shite that have ran since he went for PM last.

Why? What does he actually offer? The ego maniac set labour back years when he stood for election when it was obvious the public would not want him

Not really saying much. Sunak was probably best of a bad bunch as he seemed to at least have some sense and integrity but like Starmer lacked any political nouse.

Miliband might be an ok guy*, albeit a bit weird in my book. However, the fact is the public rejected his vision for the country even though we were in the midst of austerity. I’m not sure he’s changed much, other than doubling down on the net zero stuff, which is probably well down the list of priorities for a majority of people in the country at the moment

The wider population is very different to the PLP and my gut feel is however much they dislike Starmer, they won’t be happy with another round of PM musical chairs….maybe even less so if they end up with someone they rejected previously

*not sure his brother would agree

Miliband is bankrupting the country with his net zero vanity project - we will end up like Spain with power cuts everywhere !
