With help and support I agreeI don't think it is, to be honest. Addiction is incredibly powerful but many people don't take responsibility for their actions/understand it's down to them to change their behaviour.

I prefer rehabilitated rather than cured and actually with attraction and addiction I completely accept that the urges won’t go awayThe issue is Pete believes people can be cured.
Child abusers like all people who are addicted to unnatural urges are manipulative and want to find a way to carry on with their desires. There will be zero accountability. Even if you can get 10% not to relapse 90% will and all it does is make these people better at covering the way they operate
Well that’s not what we doYou will still be end up with 9 out of 10 abusers eager and ready again to abuse again which is why they must remain incarcerated for ever or put down
Well that’s not what we do
It’s also not what the evidence says in other similar countries or even our country for many offences
Thank you againThey just don’t get caught doing it again. Fuck me you are out of your depth
Thank you again
I don’t think I am
Where’s your evidence
I’ve shared the recidivism rates and you say they just don’t get caughtWhere’s yours FFS

Pioneering project to rehabilitate people who have committed sex offences - Lucy Faithfull Foundation
This month, we launch a trailblazing project to rehabilitate people who have committed sexual offences. Through Circles of Support and Accountability, we’ll be working with people in the West Midlands to help them to not offend again. Each circle includes 4 to 6 trained volunteers from the local...www.lucyfaithfull.org.uk
I prefer doing what we can to stop people offending to be honest but I’ll challenge what I can to ensure we don’t leave our communities and institutions more at risk than less
Way over 99% of those convicted will be released so why not do something to make their chance of offending less
Youre saying you’re the expert rather than those that work in the areaWhat’s the percentage of people being raped even reporting it?
Woah
I’m not arguing with you
One of my biggest issues has been diets and I think it’s a very similar issue
What you're getting at, maybe not meaning to is to normalise noncing. Wasn't there a thing set up back in the day?Youre saying you’re the expert rather than those that work in the area
Ok
it’s like nicks answer about being friends with violent mates
Instead of saying no he made excuses for their behaviour
Give me evidence that shows you can’t rehabilitate offenders especially those convicted of a sexual offence
