Disgraceful (6 Viewers)

You can say that about both things.

Other than the little boys family, I doubt any Sunderland fans were traumatised by his image being shown to them today.
Would you be outraged if they showed photos of poor Keaton? It's just a scummy thing to do and mocking a poor innocent child's death

Ok fine I accept that in terms of wording.

But what do you think about a serious life lesson instead of ooooh hes just a kid leave it out?
Temporary ban (rest of this season at least), made to watch all the footage and news stories of the little lad, apologise to his family (in person if possible).

He needs to feel shame and guilt. That should be his punishment,

To be fair I don't think he, or anyone else on the thread, has said he doesnt need a lesson.
Just some posters think if you dont want his life ruined youre excusing him, which no-one is.

So they can come to our ground and mock the death en masse of one of, if not our clubs biggest legend (who died of an awful disease in Alzheimers by the way) and that is acceptable then?

Their fans never call it out and encourage and wonder why this tit for tat stuff happens

Oh yeah I totally agree actually! We should always counter their abhorrent chants about our clubs biggest legend with photos of child that died with a horrible disease..

You cannot defend what he’s done, makes me feel sick to my stomach tbh

Fernando also didn't want the cov fans messing around in corner shop and assaulting shopkeepers getting on trouble iirc. Football tribalism I think

If it was a youngster I still wouldnt want their life ruined.
And it that case I'll save my anger for the c**t who ran him over whose fate we still dont know.

I would be as outraged by that as I am about this.

It seems to be that unless I'm calling for a public execution, it must mean I am onside with mocking the death of a cancer suffering child?

Two wrongs dont make a right, its time for all concerned to grow the fuck up.
Exactly..it all comes from 1977 when probably that cov fan wasn’t even alive, I’ve been sat at games with jimmy hills family and thousands of Sunderland fans have been singing “ jimmys in a box” they can’t take the moral high ground

Are you familiar with the sentencing guidelines?

give them a read 👍🏼
So your opinion is whatever the law says it is?

Glad to see you have deep moral thinking when it comes to punishment of crime

Bore off Clint - there’s a difference between a clip round the ear and a proper consequence

The kid deserves what’s coming to him

You keep mentioning 'a clip round the ear'.
You do realise that that's what I said his old man should give him, not that that should be the extent of his punishment?

But keep going full on with your draconian bollocks

Theres a difference between no consequences and having their life ruined.
Agreed, but he cant be allowed to get away with it.
I really hope that our club can ban this individual.
I dont want him associated with our football club.
A ban would be appropriate. And if he has any decency in him at all an apology and a charity donation would be acceptable.

Football chants can often be in poor taste, but this is well below the belt, its sickening, and shames all of us.
We were quick to call out the Sheffield, fan who racially abused Kasey Palmer, so let's at least be consistent when it comes to one of our own.

Not one single person has defended it. Not one.
No but arguing about why it doesn't deserve ruining of life rather than pasting what should be done kinda makes it come across like posters don't give a fuck about Bradley and just about technically winning an argument

Some people are cunts.

Some people revel in being outraged by cunts.

There will probably be a prosecution, and the dimwit will only have himself to blame.

That doesn’t even make sense you fool…

people should be properly punished for crimes, not shown leniency because they are a kid, or because the other team were also singing songs

what he did was wrong, he should be punished, if it ruins his life (which a conviction more than likely would) then so be it, and in my opinion all the better as he’ll think twice about doing it again

We're all in agreement that it was wrong. The debate moved onto suitable punishments.

It feels like you're saying that because I don't think a youngster deserves to have their life ruined for stupidity, it means I am ok with mocking the death of a child cancer victim.

I'm not saying you are however I'm just saying some people are saying that he is just young....probably most would not feel the same if he was in the Sunderland section showing photos of a tragic incident to a poor innocent child from our fanbase

‘stupidity’?

it’s a bit deeper than that

I've been very clear. Ain't mentioned any particular posters. Some have articulated themselves well and some it seems just wanna give a hipster contrarian view on it

Just my opinion

I'll ask again. Given that you think this lad should have his life ruined for a horrible action involving showing a picture, what do you think should happen to car thieves?

Who is the victim of this crime lads? The Sunderland fans in the immediate vicinity? Can you explain to me what the harm is that they have suffered?

Jesus fucking Christ I hope this ain't true, fucking horrible behaviour
I'd personally deck the c**t if I saw it.

Any Sunderland fans reading this, please understand that whatever rivalry there is between us, this is totally unacceptable.
What rivalry with Sunderland?

Disgusting behaviour and hope that inbred Cnut gets found out in your crowd.
