Torp and Mason Clark the standouts. Thomas poor in his own box but good in Derby’s. DaSilva not at his best. Overall lucky to get away with 3 mistakes at the back but some superb play going forward. 4th goal was superb by all 3 players involved

BTA attempted just 8 passes in 96 mins of football, and managed to complete just 4 of them. 🤯

Put some respect on our top scorers name

I get the marmite nature regarding BTA.
Yes he is frustrating to watch , he makes bad decisions and runs into blind alleys but he works hard , he harries and presses and does score important goals .
He's never going to be an easy watch but as long as he contributes in games I'll forgive him for his flaws
I thought he did well today and offered us more than Sakamoto does away from home, where you need to force and quickly capitalise on mistakes

Rushworth 5

MVE 6

Da Silva 5

Thomas 3 (as a defender) 8(as a striker)

Kitching 6

Grimes 8

Torp 8

Rudoni 6

BTA 6

Wright 6

EMC 7
I think this is pretty much where I am with it, but would score Kitching higher

I don't believe Rudoni was bad at all. They just nullified him and crowded him out, so he was less of a threat. He was involved in some very good interplay of one touch passing though.

JDS has done really well lately, but did really struggle yesterday.

City have 5 players in the division's leading scorers list. There is one player on 3 goals, 10 players on 2 goals and ermm 36 players on 1 goal including 5 of ours. 🤭

Difficult to rate given the disparity between how we attacked and defended. I thought Rushworth was very shaky coming for crosses/corners and Thomas was at fault for two goals which would bring his score down.

Torp looked class, as did EMC for much of the game, those two and Grimes were our best players i think.

What an away day it was though, dont often see 5 away from home and certainly not at Derby!

It's no surprise Torp's quality is there for all to see. He has a great shot on him, and will pop up with goals. Sheaf not anywhere near that quality and should be sold. Wright still getting up to speed. Rudoni had a quiet game by his standards but others stepped up. That's the sign of a good side. We won at a canter even though we made hard work of defending! The confidence this now gives us should inspire the players to get on an early season run and be among the leaders.
Watching highlights of Brum and Wexham who I thought were both shockingly bad tbf. Sheff.Utd have it all to do. Many of the bookies favourites do not look that inspiring. This may be our opportunity if we keep this monentum up and running.

Sheff Utd have it all to do?

We are only 2 games into the league season, Pax. 😂

Today showed why we need to sort defence, we will score goals, not worried about that so much.

we need to sort defence out, that will go long way to helping us. Also with injury to tats, we need wingers!!!!
Only 1 goal was down to an error from the back 4.

1 was a keepers blunder. (And great shot tbf) . And 1 a penalty after Thomas was pushed in the back.

Absolutely no need to rip up the defence and start again.
Rushworth 5
MVE 5
Thomas 5
Kitching 7
Dasilva 4
Grimes 6
Torp 8 MOTM
Rudoni 5
BTA 4
EMC 7
Wright 6
so you give Rushworth, who let the first goal through his hands and was constantly rooted to his line, kicked balls out of play instead of finding a city player, and generally did his best to make Collins look competent a 5

But then give BTA who scored our equaliser and hit a first time thunderbolt narrowly wide and generally ran Derby ragged a 4

Honestly, I sometimes wonder what game some posters have been watching!
Im sure some of you should post your ratings before kick off, they're that biased.

True, but watching them seems like they are suffering from post trauma of missing out on what they thought would be automatic promotion and then at least win the playoff's. They look all over the place. I'm sure they will improve but momentum is always with the sides that start well. Those that don't (traditionally us) have it all to do. They'll need to get a few wins posted quickly...

Ran the defence ragged? He runs around like a headless chicken. He gets the ball and, rather than go for the logical option, always tries to run it between 2 defenders and loses it every single time! He would have had a 3 if it wasn't for the clever lay off to Da Silva for Torps goal and for the goal line tap in he scored. He's so frustrating to watch. So yes, he scores a 4. A generous 4. And against Hull he was maybe a 2 or 3. We are all allowed to have differing opinions.

Rushworth 5 - thought he was very ropey yesterday and not just with that free kick! Flapped at numerous crosses

Mve - 8 got a couple of assists and big involvement with the long throw for another goal

Thomas - 5 bad errors cost us goals but was a danger in opp box

Kitching - 7 solid enough day for big kitch even bigger performance after he knows his baby could drop but still wanted to commit to playing the game! Vocal as always and some very good passing shown

JDS - 6 Was targeted by derby with long balls dealt with it ok although got caught out a couple of times

Grimes - 7 solid from him as always

Torp - 8 MOM for me was linking the play well dangerous forward passing in opp half and got himself a very good goal

Asante - 6 nicked a goal was full of running and trying apart from that not for me...

EMC - 8 very dangerous everytime he runs at defences

Wright - 6 pen never in doubt but apart from that didn't offer us enough

Just the way I see the performance yesterday, overall in the end it's exactly what the team needed with various players getting goals which will hopefully just breed confidence!! 1st away win of the season and hopefully build on this

Dasilva back to being targeted and bullied again. MVE got away with it because his defending was shocking. Rushworth less than commanding.

Torp, EMC great and good to see Wright looking like he wanted to play football again.
I'll reply to this because I think you meant JDS was bullied by Derby and at first I thought you meant on here. JDS was fine until he tired. He has the shirt at the moment as he is the best footballer in that position at the club. Watch his passing, rarely gives the ball away and despite posters desperately trying to blame him, he was not at fault for the goals. The free kick, the penalty and a terrible header from Thomas.
