Dale Evans ....... (10 Viewers)

Actually Nick, what I have read on here is nothing short of a character assasination (that may turn out to be justified)
Posters are expecting a businessman and he isn't, he is or maybe a guy who got lucky and there is no standard response under those circumstances.
Perhaps my reaction is based on the simple premise that until he is proven to be a fraud I will give him some leeway in my response. As I would want for myself if I was fortunate to be in his position.
Oh have a day off. He's come out with a range of contradictory statements. Playing to a crowd who've heard it all before. What do you expect? A fan club?

This is the most sense I’ve heard all day, can’t believe people have been taken in by him, in the 2 radio interviews he’s given he’s even confused himself, keeps changing the story,

Really? Nobody is really being personal towards him and I certainly wouldn't allow people to be abusing his family on here.

People have picked apart his story to see how believable it is.
If you read the post above this from backroomrummermill among others, by no means a lone voice, you will see that it Dale Evans is dismissed as a fantasist.
What happens if Dale Evans is the real deal? His credibility is being torn apart on here and you can dress it up as you like but it is a character assasination.
Oh the humble pie some would have to eat. Fernandopartridge can you hear me?

Well I stand corrected and he is a successful businessman and therefore I bow to his unorthodox methods which have made him much more successful than I have been.
The sort of man to run our club.
Thank you

People will have made a decision / formed an opinion. If it turns out they are wrong, then surely it's a case of so be it?

People on here aren't assassinating his character, he is doing that himself with every contradiction he makes.

I maintain this view, you are suggesting that we have been disrespectful to him. I would suggest that someone who blatantly lies on the pretence of saving a dead cat bounce football club should be identified and made an example of through their own conduit of attention. Would you not agree?

You enter the arena etc etc

We beg to differ, some are, some are just skeptical which I get.

It agree that he has not made it easy to believe his tale but there has been no contradictions from the people in the consortium or any intense denial from SISU, I am an optimist by heart and will believe it until it's proved otherwise

If he turns out to be right, the people who doubted him (me included) will be wrong.

At the minute, so much of what he has said is contradictory and even when asked to confirm things he has given it the "Well I know" as if that explains it and proves everything.

It was denied straight off on the club website the other day and today.

Nobody is really saying anybody in the Consortium has contradicted, if anything they have said he is making them look bad.

I am not offended, just believe that keeping the gun powder dry is a more prudent route to take.
I am not taken in by the guy as I keep saying but unless anyone can say they know for a fact the guy is a fraud I fail to see why fellow CCFC supporters would be so quick to ridicule.
It is as though they want him to be another shyster added to the list.

I'm with you, can't believe my fellow supporters are so quick to ridicule a treacle town poker player who's launched his bid through a combination of facebook, CWR and the Telegraph while been photographed with Joe Elliot and the mad hatters - what's wrong with people?

Are you seriously suggesting that a person who has conducted himself in such a comedic manner and boasted without any credibility be given any consideration ? You need to get back drinking SID or whatever it is in Saudi nowadays. It is the most ridiculous story , sorry yet again another fantasy on CCFC brought on our poor oppressed wee club. Its pure fantasy fuelled by the fact that the internet and social media can somehow make it real to some people. This person who ever they are needs to have a word with themselves and get help.

It's not abusing DE to agree with the above post. Let's face it, we don't know what's fact/fantasy and all we can go on is how plausible it all seems based on how it's presented i.e. how likely this is to be true. Frankly, based on everything I have seen and heard, that % likelihood is 0%.

I am happy to stand corrected and will be the first in the queue for my humble pie if this turns out to be the real deal, but I'm not holding my breath.

They haven't said "he's not with us" and the clubs denials haven't come from the "top"

What do you mean? The club have categorically stated it with the bluntest statement you are ever going to get.

His reply was "Well I know I have".

On Friday he said he had been having discussions, bids were in, business advisors and all sorts. It turned out his proof was somebody forwarding an email.

There is nothing to suggest this bid has any credibility, or that it is being taken seriously by SISU.. Until something is put out by the club to support his claims I am taking it as a no goer!

Come on, man up, call it as it is! You don't believe the chap, you call him a fantasist, you dismiss him and you say you haven't been disrespectful?
Blatantly lies? Saving a dead cat bounce football club? Really? What are you doing to save the dead cat bounce football club? By the way that is the club that I love, representing my city and I want it to survive and I am prepared to give ANYONE the benefit of the doubt until shown otherwise. At the point where Dale Evans is proven to be a fraudster I will happily join you in condemning him.
So no I don't agree.

It's a bit like when you meet someone in a pub giving it the "big up" about some topic or other, if you challenge it on a particular aspect they look at you blankly, then when that aspect is mentioned again they just incorporate it into the story e.g.
Interview one - Clive says "Is gary Hoffman involved in your bid?" and he basically goes, "err,,, no....does anyone have his phone number?"
Interview two, 5 days later - "Yeah, yeah, me and Gary and bidding together and I'm going to be the silent partner"

Who knows if it's true but it certainly doesn't SOUND credible.

The whole "what are you doing" isn't a valid argument or point. It's usually a sign of when people can't disprove things that others are saying.

It's not even humble pie though, Oucho. Even if he comes through (which I guess will purely be based on him putting money into the investor pot), he still delivered a number of mistruths and inaccuracies, naming people and saying he has been talking to people he hasn't been talking to.

I have not once said he is plausible, I have not said he is going about in a way that inspires confidence.
But do you know he is not going to be the real deal and end this decade long nightmare for our club?

An english guy (spy) is balls deep in this as well, he was paid to create a false dossier to start an investigation on Trump in the 1st place. Its boomerang back and even pro Clinton media outlets like the Washington post are about U turn and starting to question how this was all done.

I doubt whether he was paid to create a false dossier. He was originally paid by a republican, but that ended when Trump was nominated. Trump is under investigation for collusion with a foreign power. Whether the Dems were paying for dirt on Trump - not a fabrication, but actual dirt ( whether they got what they paid for or not is not the point ) - doesn't alter the fact that all the intelligence services believe the Russians were involved in the election and a load of facts about Russian connections which had been kept quiet by the Trump campaign are now coming out. Don’t fall into the trap of making excuses for the disgusting creature known as 45. He has just reached another all time low in approval ratings and the dems are leading by 15 points according to a Fox News poll.

Two republicans have now come out against what he is doing to the USA and the Republican Party. They cannot stand being associated with the man.

The clown is smashing everything that the USA stood for. Western values out of the window. To make matters worse Bannon is trying to drive the old republicans out of the party and replace them with populist and extreme conservatives. If he succeeds America will fall apart. They may as well call themselves a NAZI party, but they will of course leave the word socialist out of the title, which even Hitler didn’t risk doing. The National Party. All white, all business and pure selfish nationalism. Will all end in tears - as with the Nazis.

to be honest, I'm not sure I'd want him.
I admire gamblers and risk takers but I'm not sure they're the right people to try and restore a struggling football club that's already suffered decades of mismanagement.

Nick, cheap.
You can't denounce a guy who is actually trying to do something to save the dead cat football club whist doing nothing yourself.
It's like complains about our gates whilst not going to games. Something you finger posters on regularly.

And for that argument alone you get a like!
Now the question is do you want the decade of mismanagement to continue under Sisu?

Would you put your money into an investment just based on someone showing you a betting slip as prove of credibility? Or would you say wait until he has shown more evidence? I don’t believe a word at the moment, but if SISU check him out and say he is for real, then fine. I would wait until Hoffmann or SISU say that he is for real. Until then he isn’t.

no, but the next mob that take over has to get it right, no point in swapping one set of shysters for another, that's how we ended up with sisu in the first place.

That's the second most pointless argument, to try and make out that because people don't particularly think he would be great that they want SISU.

This all reminds me of my old Pink Parrot days. A friend of mine was a classic King Henry boy 22 years of age with a pair of glasses and a half bold head. I used to go shagging most weeks albeit sometime not with girls that looked like "oil paintings" but you get my drift. Riley square, Stoke Aldermoor and so on.
An old shag from Henley Green started snogging him and off they went. They shared a cab to her house and as the perfect gent he said he would pay to get her home and then go his way. She gave him a wank in the cab as it travelled and when it came to the vinegar stroke he was non the wiser. She got out of the cab and rubbed all the billy bunk on his nice blazer shoulder kissed him and went on her merry way!
Wasnt until his mother in the morning asked what was the mess on his shoulder lol! He said he has no idea bless him. CCFC fans take note.:joyful:

The guy has nothing to gain by spouting shit across the internet and media....

He may have contradicted himself etc but maybe he’s inexperienced in dealing with the press etc.....I dunno but I think there is evidence to suggest he isn’t a complete fake?

Thank you for the analysis, actually I was trying to ascertain his desire for continuation of the ten year debacle of the current owners, or as some call it Nick, the golden years.

Like I said, it's a pretty common reply along with "what are you doing" as if something is exclusive.

Why does him pointing things out about this fella suddenly mean he has any desire at all for SISU? If he says he likes blue cars does it suddenly mean he hates green ones?

Say he won 12 million. Kept 2 Million for himself and his family. Gives Joy 10 million.

He has players, the golden share ( but only if the FL allow it ), a few footballs and corner flags. Ryton will go to Joy as 10 million is peanuts really.

The season is already running. The Ricoh contract is ending. The Butts, if it is an option, would need a lot of work and there are a lot of problems to sort out. Without more money up front that won’t be ready by next season. Wasps, as an alternative, may want a long term contract. The ST money for this season will be gone. It’s a long way until ST sales for next season.

I don’t know whether matchday sales will cover wages etc.. I think without expertise and access to working capital the club would be in a worse state than now. Despite everything about SISU, the playerˋs wages have always been paid and money was there when there were cash flow problems.

If it happens, it will be Hoffmann and this guy will be a glorified shareholder. If it happens.
