I remember years ago when we played at Pride Park in the prem, we were walking towards town after the game and some Derby wanker tried to push my dad over a bridge. This is why I couldn’t give a fuck if they went out of existence, shithouse club

Even more then.

Block 15 and 16 are clearly the blocks for people to stand up? I don't get why anyone would get a ticket there if you aren't standing and joining in with the atmosphere?
Wrong I have had a ST in 16 ever since we have been at the stadium used to be half way up yet never had to stand.
We are talking one person feels he has the right to spoil everyones view sorry but he doesn't.
BTW way I love joining in the atmosphere so do most in block 16 they do so with 90% of them sitting down.

The talk on the train was insufferable. You’d think they hadn’t failed to file accounts for years, sold the ground to themselves to get round FFP, given Shrek £80k a week and then been punished for it going tits up.

That is of course the ones who were speaking English instead of banging the ceiling and shouting something about Billy Davies

As usual though before and after the game I had a few quick chats with Derby fans and they were sound.

The vast majority of people are alright at the end of the day

Fair enough. I'm glad I got my season ticket higher up in the end. I'd have been disappointed had I bought a season ticket in block 16 and had to sit down.

Was the issue at St Andrews, forced to sit down throughout the game.

Some of the things I've read on the Derby forum about Coventry is laughable. Bet most haven't stepped foot inside the City Centre. Those that have recently would notice straight away it's far better than Derby town centre.

Outside I walked past some lad that said “let’s go find some Cov to fuck up”

He didn’t try anything with me in my Cov top and scarf because he’s not after any Cov he’s after the ones that want some.

If you don’t want any you won’t find any

99%* of the time, wearing a club scarf grants one immunity to violence.

Stone Island = 'I'm up for a bit of knuckle'
Club scarf = 'I'm on my way home for Strictly, with a nice bottle of real ale'

*100% immunity if you still wear 'that' ST scarf.

Can’t moan about a bit of trouble when there is a perfectly safe stand at the other end of the stadium , fucking go and sit in there if you don’t like it

I have a bunch of scarves, but that's still my favourite. I also like to wear it to other venues that are a bit smarter and know I've secretly still got a bit of City on.

I think we'd all have been happier had yesterday passed off without incident. When it spills over and kids get caught up it's not on. We're just there for a beer, a sing song and a game of football. The rest is bullshit. However, they clearly came yesterday thinking they could take liberties. They were wrong and got what they deserved. Bunch of mouth breathers sent packing with their tail between their legs. Good.

Trouble was obvious from before kick-off. We have to ask can our security handle nearly 4000 away fans inside the stadium I’d say not, be interesting how many tickets they let West Brom and Birmingham have I’d limit them to two blocks and no pay on the day.
We took nearly 4000 to Blackburn we have our share of wannabees but there was a large police inside and outside the ground.
We are starting to attract a higher regular home fan base pushing 18/19000 young kids too fathers won’t bring them if they feel unsafe.

Yep, that's the difference. Blackburn was policed well. Yesterday was an absolute horror show from the police. A barrier doesn't work because you kettle fans together.

Not sure how it works nowadays in the past bad old days Police were in charge of security if they were inside the ground and there would be the odd Police free game. But I think that has changed and we now have a head of safety officer. If he he/she thinks a row of orange cladded bits of kids are a deterrent he/she needs to look for another job. If we continue on our present course we could have a regular 20000 home support. Costs money but give crowd control inside the ground 100% over to the Police that’s their job. Use stewards for checking tickets etc. Say what you like visual police presence with the power of arrest is a deterrent.

Any coventry fan involved in this sort of rubbish is an absolute disgrace. It's not being hard real men dont need to resort to any sort of aggression or violence.

Ruined the game for me. Worst of all it contributed to them equalizing.

Well some Derby fans let our great club again there was nearly a fight kicked off right next to us and I prayed please dont start fighting lucky two lads causing the issues there dad gave them both clip round the ears. Told them to pack it up but then after the game Derby fans fighting with cover...

See im of this opinion. Especially in the stadium.

However

Im not willing to chastise those at the cherrytree. Thats a family pub, lots of kids and elderly drink there pre and post game. In fact quite the opposite im quite proud of those that ran the Derby chavs off down lythalls lane, as they arent any 'mob' and main decent fathers and grandfathers protecting their kids from a load of east midland chavs launching bottles and road signs towards there loved ones.
