Response from the police when it started booting off was absolutely shocking.

The lad who got to the Derby fans, literally walked past a police officer who didn't even attempt to stop him.

Seen one lad throwing kicks, never mess with a bloke that can boot you in the head from 6 foot away, KICKS GET CHICKS and a night in the nick.

That Sunderland game in 2018 was a disgrace. Was set up for it to kick off and get people nicked

Could sense a bit of aggro in the crowd today. Kicked off a couple of times in Block 30 between Cov fans as well, squaring up to each other and a few people taking their kids elsewhere

A bit of knuckle between young men who are up for it (a la the Block 14 vs away fans nonsense), I can handle and have a wry chuckle at.

Block 30 stuff, between Cov and Cov? I don't get it.

I always find it baffling that most of the time when you can see it start kicking off and Stewards are struggling to control it majority of the time the police are just stood pitch side watching.

If there's over 23k 2 things will happen

1. Coventry will mess it up
2. Coventry fans will fight between themselves

They’re a waste of money.

Defund the police. Get some crowd control experts in to manage stadiums instead.

I may have completely imagined this but Im sure I saw/heard something once that they wait for it to kick off, film people doing naughties then step in and stop it followed by a round of retrospective arrests.

I was amazed that they let them out, I would have locked them in for half an hour at least and any damage caused their club will be paying for, same with any damage to the flags. I went to Derby when they played at the baseball ground int he early 90’s and there was loads of trouble that night might have been a cup game.

I posted before the game that a bunch of them (Derby teenagers) were wondering round Tesco shouting at people in Cov fans. They smashed glass bottles on the ground in front a bloke carrying his child and then started mouthing off at him. They came wanting a scrap.

With a bit of luck we won’t have to bother with them next season and they can go and enjoy Accrington and Crewe

I couldn't see what was going on on the hill outside the away end while waiting to get picked up but it was clear something was going on. Heard afterwards Derby lot throwing bottles
What I could see was a drone hovering overhead, no doubt filming it all and no doubt a few doors getting knocked over the next few weeks

This is it though, the police can stand back and film it then later have the fans banned.

There will be loads banned from today.

The guy in the grey tracksuit will probably dine out on this story for some time. It was definitely more interesting than the game for a bit in the second half. There was a brief moment where it seemed like it was going to really kick off with the Derby fans before the police got together in numbers.

They film it then kick people's doors in at 6am to arrest them, 9/10 times don't do anything on the day.

Basically no protection to anyone unfortunate to be in wrong place at the wrong time.

It’s difficult for the police watching footage because they have to work out who was there to cause trouble , who were the innocent bystanders and who got involved because of a) self defence or b) because bottles etc were being thrown etc

None of the Derby fans really wanted to go over. Look at the response to the Cov fan running over. They all panicked.

Which is fair because they know if they throw a punch they'll not be allowed at another match for 3 years.

A shame for those of us who like to go to the football to actually watch football.

It’s on Facebook now it looks like he kicked the Derby fan and it seemed more of a push over the chairs where as the previous Lone Ranger definitely threw punches. It looked like the police were letting him burn himself out and doing his work before picking him off.

Today I saw 3 Derby fans ejected and 1 city .

There were alot of bottles being thrown into the away end .

The answer for me is to reduce away capacity to 3 k maximum and then we are further apart
