I'm sorry but only an idiot would be pleased with a draw in the home leg of a 2-leg tie.
We need to win and preferably by two goals.
A draw or even a one-goal defeat, would still leave us with an outside chance, but the odds are if that happens, we'll go out.

What is the best result tho tomorrow night to take to Notts county?

A 2-0 cushion and concede a early goal and momentum’s well with county at home.
A draw leaves both sides with it to play for.

Tricky scenario to play out over 180 a minimum of mins

Like in any game a lead at ht is better than drawing or being behind. Drawing better than losing. Whatever the result tomorrow robins needs to send them out positively at meadow lane; defend from the front if we are up. Silencing their crowd early on would be ideal next Friday.

Stay in the game. Home advantage isn't the advantage everyone makes it to be.

We have as good a chance of winning at meadow lane as at Ricoh. It's a cup game remember Forest beat Crewe few years ago 2 nil. Then thrashed at home 5 -2 at forest.

We remember our 2 legged Crewe game as well. Backing us over 2 games.

We definitely don’t ‘need’ to win by two goals. Obviously it’s prefable, but, as long as we win, we go into the away leg in very favouarable circumstances.

I’d be content with a draw, and that’s what he’s getting at... Notts County May have only lost 2 games at home, but they’ve also drew a lot of games. In the context of a playoff game, even if we drew at home, we can still play on the counter-attack in the away leg. The pressure would still be on them. But, I agree that a loss tomorrow will make it very, very difficult to win the tie.

To me, he’s admitting he and the squad got too excited and was too concerned with winning that we perhaps pushed too much. Had we gone into that 2nd leg, say, 2-1 or 2-0 down instead of 3-0, we’d have had a better chance of at least forcing it to ET.

We all know we arnt going to be 3 up from the first leg, it will be tight. Both teams won’t want to give much away. My concern is that it’s a lack less 0-0 which I think puts them at the advantage. Playing away in the second leg is certainly more difficult but if we don’t beat them then we simply aren’t good enough to go up this season

It's a bit like a test match first session. Play badly in that first session batting and you can lose the test match. But you can't win it in the first session.

I’d take a 0-0 to be honest and be happy that it was all to play for in the 2nd game. First goal, as we have seen most of the season, will be the key.

I don't really drink much at all these days but have been drinking everyday since last Saturday. If we get to Wembley I will probably need to go to rehab afterwards!

I don't drink that much now, managed to do loads on Wembley morning. Might have to do the same this year if we get there for the nerves.

So if we can win the first game 2-1 we’ll take a 2-0 lead to their place?

Well if he's tantalisingly close, Wembley will be spot on for him.

I think it will be 1-0 either way a tight cagey game unless it’s a crazy thriller.

My concern is a slow paced side to side game won’t tickle the fancy of many and they will get on the players backs as we don’t try to put the game to bed.

Tomorrow isn’t necessarily where the games won but the wrong approach is where this could be lost with a lack of concentration.

180 mins is a long game.

Both teams to score and Under 4.5 goals is 6/4 with Skybet - worth a punt

I have an inkling we might win 2-0, but leave it really late, with Andreu and Jones coming on as subs and bagging the goals.

It's going to be a tough game today. No doubt about that. Both sets of players will be a nervous and it will show in the play.

Of course a win is great but even a draw is acceptable. It puts the pressure on County at their place next week to get an 'obvious' win.

Can anybody imagine if it goes down to penalties? I think I will be weeing, pooing, crying, cheering and eating my fingers all at the same time.

We have a great chance as long as we don't cave in and are still in the game for the 2nd leg, i'm going for 2-1...

Ok so now there are a few twinges of excitement...this is no ordinary game all of a sudden. I'll be driving up from London listening to Lincoln Exeter and soaking up the sense of occasion...a nice little appetiser. I'm going for a 3-1 win!

I think if it goes to pens we're screwed.

Just don't think we have the mental strength for pens.

At a guess I would say that likely to miss would be Biamou, Shipley and possibly McNulty. Doyle and Bayliss I think would both score.

I had a dream last night we won 8-0 and Burge scored a cracking volley form 30 yards out.

As I'm clearly mental for having a dream like this. im going to say a a nervy 2-1 but not sure what way.
