Happy with the scoreline and happy with the last 10 mins. First 30 we looked nervy and were really struggling to keep hold of the ball. Quality on the wings is really killing us going forward though, and standard of delivery from both set pieces and in open play has been so poor.

The difference is standard compared to last year is very apparent. The way that Newcastle pass it around one touch is sensational at times. We’ve got a long way to go get to that level still.

All about hanging on by the skin of our teeth this season. Be a couple of years before we’d be close to that level imo.

In other news the elephant on the sky sports broadcast representing us looks really good

[Sky Blue Pete]

Great defending form Bobby Thomas , Emc and grimes out of there depth

Thought grimes having his best game this season emc and Bta killing us
Came into it last 10-15 of the half

It's hard to know who's going where out of Hall and Barnes, sometimes Hall inverts and sometimes he hugs the touchline. No suprise BTA is struggling to pick him up.

[Evo1883]

Thomas with 14 defensive contributions that half btw

[mark82]

I think a lack of Tchaouna and Wright is limiting what we can do.

Is Tchaouna injured?

[FriendlyTractorBoy]

Fair fucking play.

[Boicey]

I know there's a Grimes pile on but he's the one we want to hold the ball, get some control and pass, spread it out. He's not doing it.

Need to get him in my FPL

Nobody knows at the moment. Hopefully lampard says something post match

Was thinking this haha

Pleasantly surprised with Cherif. Has his bumbling moments but plenty to like too.

[Ccfcisparks]

Even should we not win, we are starting to look better than we did after the first 4.

[fernandopartridge]

Gall is a really, really good player.

I don't know how you've got the hall to misspell his name like that

Yes we must not forget hes playing against two beasts in the air with Thiaw and Botman

[fernandopartridge]

This sort of game might have suited Hamer well a few years back

Yes very true.

I said Thomas the way he is going maybe will come to the attention of England Set up - tonight will help that more no end - he deserves it -

My colleague has gall stones, so think it autocorrected as I've been talking about it a lot. That or my fingers are fat.

[AFCCOVENTRY]

No changes

[fernandopartridge]

Didn't come to anything but that player who just clashed heads with MVE strolled past Yirenki without him looking

[JulianDarbyFTW]

What a prick

[Evo1883]

What a finish that is

[AFCCOVENTRY]
