It really isn't. He never delivered when he was in a front two and he's not delivering up top alone. If you were Bayliss, Thomas etc. you'd soon enough stop making runs.

It’s absurd to say a player is deliberately ignoring managers instructions

Stop embarrassing yourself.

We are starting to drop like a stone - it’s a toothless display

Toothless is a pretty accurate description.

The free kick at the end summed it up. Shipley floats a pretty tame ball into the box, only to be met by about 9 Luton players and 3 or 4 CCFC players.

How the fuck do they expect to get anything out of that?

We’re by far the weaker team.

We’re too spread out and not moving the ball through midfield well at all. But, the conditions aren’t helping either side in that regard. JCH is too isolated, as is Kelly at times when Bayliss and Shipley push too far up.

Hiwula unlucky for his chance. awful defending from the setpiece.

That sounded awful. Not doing anything to make me re-assess my opinion that we're never up for it in bad weather.

Clutching at straws but we only ever seem to turn up for 45 mins and we certainly didn't turn up for those. So maybe for once we'll see a decent second half? If we drop off in the second half like we usually do this could be horrific.

Something needs to change but we haven't got anywhere near enough subs! At this rate can definitely see Doyle coming in to kick some arses, probably for Shipley. Need to keep what little attacking options we have on the pitch.

Are there any formations left we haven't tried this season?

4-3-3 in principal sounds fine but it never is. It ends up some strange 4 3 2 1 - we are just set up to defend

Luton walking ball through us at Will. So easy for them.
Burge please stop short goalkicks...they just not working and we put ourselves under pressure.
JCH put a shift in and try and look interested. Hiwula same. Someone get closer to JCH for when he bothers to challenge. Not won a second ball all half.
Robin: instil some urgency 1-11. And please please don’t send them out to play as deep as recent games.

Has Shipley been that bad? Not great but no worse than the others.

Set up to try and nick a 1-0 and it’s backfired again. What is the point in Kelly basically acting as a 3rd centre back, it’s just making us concede possession in midfield. The gulf in class is massively apparent.

Haha. It's not players ignoring instructions, it's a natural instinct to make movements to areas you think ball is going to go. With JCH it's pretty much impossible to tell because it ricochets all over the place so eventually you'll stop making runs at all.

Probably our worst half of the season (that I've seen anyway).

Hiwula and Shipley very poor on the ball. Thomas, Bayliss and JCH hardly had a kick.

Grimmer and Kelly the only ones coming out of that with much credit.

Is Bakayoko injured? Because he offers so much more than Hiwula and seems harsh to drop him from the squad.

You've contradicted yourself a little there.

If there is a massive gulf in class then we can't set up to go on the attack and so nicking a 1-0 win was probably our best bet (clearly it hasn't worked though)

Not even a gulf in class it's a gulf in commonsense from the managers

I don't think there is actually much in it. Luton look confident but I wouldn't say they're anything special. Our decision making is poor, we look disjointed.

It’s defense v attack. We’re sat far too deep and they are pushing us further back.

So far back that when they pass it back to Burge he’s under pressure straight away and has no time to do anything with it.

Trying to play out from the back we struggle to make it past the half way line, lump it forward and there’s only JCH and he doesn’t look interested.

Why not set up to go on the attack? We might as well go for it rather than sit back and wait to concede. Such negative tactics by Robins as usual.

If it couldn't get any more moan-worthy, CWR have mentioned Wasps about 7 times in about 10 minutes.

In fact, they've even sent their 'best commentator' to cover their game.

WHY DO I SUPPORT THIS CLUB

A performance to match the weather, set up to stifle and now chasing the game (surprise). JCH is a waste of time whatever the tactics. Hiwula looks lost on the left despite his goal, i wasn't sure but my lad is convinced it was in. Needs changing badly.

I don't think we have been as bad this season as some have but no doubt about it it is u forgivable to not try win st home

Robin's has a half time now to get them motivated to score. If they don't give it a good go maybe changes are needed

That said after last 2 year's maybe we just need to accept avoiding relegation and giving MR another summer to change squad
What give him a chance to buy some more forwards who can’t score. If he can’t turn things round soon a change of direction is needed.

Thomas by his standards has not had much impact and it shows our reliance on him. Without him there is little impetus

Yes he's only got us promoted and mid-table in the league above, let's sack him for losing a few games.

Not just about the results is it and getting promotion from an even more appalling league than the one we are in is no cause for pats on the back

No changes at HT? Surely he's only going to give it ten minutes and if it doesn't change he's got to make a sub.

With all this rain hopefully it might get abandoned.

I think a change of playing staff comes first.

Robins deserves time to make us better. I don't wanna hear 'change of direction' for a while yet.
