I’m in the middle of the ongoing argument as at times he is isolated but equally we are playing two attacking midfielders, so there is an intention to attack.
As always, the football is good until the final third.
Unfortunately the weak link is Godden. As I said in a previous post, he cannot play the lone role, even with two behind him. That’s why we aren’t creating more -the attacking two midfielders can’t get beyond Godden as a) he’s barely involved and b) therefore isn’t holding up the ball or linking play.
Even so, it was a half of absolute dominance. We’ve been here before, which is why it’s key we push on. I’d be tempted to give Biamou a go up front, either in place of one of the midfielder or a straight swap.
