Match Thread Coventry City vs Hull City (H) - Match Thread - Sat 29th August (3pm KO) (7 Viewers)

Had a little notification saying on this day 17 years ago we travelled away to Blackpool and lost 3-0, and everything else is history

Others will disagree, but I don’t think we can hide that today is a massive game. It seems silly saying it two games in, but I think retrospectively when we look back at the season we will point at this as a game we had to get three points. Anything less a disappointment.

Assume others have had the text from the club advising us all to be in there for 2pm?

Have I missed the reasoning behind that? Is that genuinely cause they’re worried people won’t be able to use a digital ticket?!

Also, I was planning a few beers today and I won’t be doing that in the concourse now the Camden bar has gone, there’s no ale and Carling is the main option?!
yes i miss the Camden bar i wonder whether there was a hiatus for the friendlies and now with the new company coming in it might give us more choice - fosters is better than carling and that muck Stella - i want Hells lager !

Shame the weather is so arse. I pictured a sea of sky blue in lovely sunshine for our return, now its going to be raincoats everywhere and a sodden surface leading to a very scrappy game I feel

Oh that's great news. We may be able to get a wheelchair through there now without the crowd of real ale gorms and the weird starers.

Agreed. 'Six pointer' may be taking it a little over the top and I did suggest that with a little jest but today has to be a 'marker'.

'Real ale gorms' and 'Weird starers'.
Hey, kids if you've just started a band and are struggling for a name...

Of course it's massive

It's just not must win though

Game 2 of 38. We could lose today and still not be in relegation zone

But it is massive no doubt

I was there.

Had an altercation with Oggy, didn't like the way he 'spoke' to me.

That was his last chance with me. Didn't like his manner at the End of an Era ball but I put that down to him having had a few beers.

We’d be 6 points adrift of the relegation favourites if we lose, for me this is must win despite it being game 2 lol

Well at the moment its the only league city have gone up without playing🤣

I mean strictly speaking the stuff served at the Camden Bar is not real ale.

I feel that’s an important point to distinguish on such a momentous day.

Apparently a Stella is 8.50

Guinness 9.50

Welcome to the premier league

If true that is poor

Well there's no Stella or Guinness in the ground.

Yeah that’s a fair point, it was only Carling in the east stand fan village during pre season hopefully that’s not still the case
