We just have to do our bit and keep on winning.

We win every game that will surely be more than enough to secure automatic promotion.

Should be looking for 6 pts over the Easter period and that will leave us very close to automatic promotion place 3.

It is completely possible with 8 games left.

Otis , again I am no armchair hero but some of us turned against MR when it’s quite obvious he ahould play there , along with Biamou being played against others on the bench who have since proved themselves . I still have no confidence in MR it’s the players doing it , I reckon the players feel the same

He has never made a tactical change in a match to prove otherwise, indeed he has done the opposite

You live in a weird world. So when we do well as a team, the players deserve credit and MR doesn’t, but when we did badly, it’s MR’s fault? Strange.

I think it was worth trying Bayliss on the wing with Kelly and Doyle in the middle. That CM partnership was a large contributor to our defence being the best in the league. After Jones, and before Vincenti, there was no standout candidate for the RM berth. A worthy experiment which didn’t go to plan. Surely the manager deserves credit for reconignising that instead of doubling down.

Same goes for your point about Biamou. He recognised we needed a ‘number 9’, went and got a damn good player in JCH, who, let’s not forget, was a 3rd choice target. Who would you have lined up with McNulty at the time? Beavon? Ponticelli? Biamou was the best option at the time and, overall, their partnership was beneficial to the team for a while. JCH is just a player who’s head and shoulders a better player.

Thank you for the reply , I appreciate injuries , limitations etc .

Let’s start with Baylis who was shifted out wide to a surprise to many , given the immediate form afterwards Robins persisted with him there

Play your players where they have the most impact - how many times was Steven Gerrard and Paul Scholez played wide ?

Question 1 why ?

Good old Biamou the loveable rouge Who huffs and puffs , why was a 27 yo non league player signed ?

Question 2 Why Biamou ?

My final thoughts are really annoying , we should be top , todays result proves it . I cannot fathom anything from MR what he wants to do or play. I would say that the role of Doyle is one that is under appreciated by some but one of MR first inclusions on his team sheet. The rest apart from McNulty who could be L or R up front . The clue in my opinion to MR inexperience is tinkering with the goal keepers . He has given zero confidence to either by swapping them , it’s my opinion ,

I am delighted at the result , credit the lads for getting it and to MR for finally getting it together .

It could have been so much better and easier . We are in L4 after all .

You’re wrong, he is a good footballer at this level ( as he proved again today), just not a good goal scorer. You are the chap who said he should never play for the team again before saying “how pleased for the lad” you were when he scored at MK a week later. You have also been calling for Robin’s head, still think he should be sacked.

Lets not pretend that Robins is some Alex Fergusson type manager. He had a stroke of luck having to play Bayliss when injuries forced his hand, a bit like the Wilson Pressley scenario. Having said that, Robins is a good fit for the club at the minute and it's fair when he says that "this team has had minimal time to gel" as most arrived in the summer.
One change I couldn't agree with was the reinstated Burge after a good performance from O'Brien at Crewe. A real kick between the legs for O'Brien that was.
Best performance of the season as a team from us but Grimsby were poor. I guess you can only beat who's in front of you though.

and also signing JCH, and having 4 CB's that have the best defensive record in the league, having to sell Ben Stevenson, and also having the best goal difference in my life time and also all this whilst losing his best 2 players for the season due to injury......

yer, stroke of luck !!

Only our fans would be negative on an evening of a 4-0 win at home !

Every game from Burge we can expect an insane run out of goal, poor distribution or some other cock up. Today alone he rolled the ball to their forward, did a trademark moment of madness and ran into Hyam on his way back to goal.

O'Brien isn't miles better but you can at least count on there not being a howler a week.

But can you really think I O'Brian is a better keeper?
At the end of the day stats don't lie, Burge has let in the least goals in this division.
Oh and did you not see England' No1 do the same yesterday.

Can you be a good footballer but not a good goal scorer as a striker? The role of the forward is to score goals and create for others/their strike partner. Biamou fails at the first objective and the second is open to debate with 3 assists this season. Clarke-Harris has 2 in his last 2 games

I do love the bickering and immaturity of this board, it’s infectious although I generally don’t lower myself.........although I also love the debate that goes with it.

But Jesus we are a grumpy bunch....it feels no different tonight than before that hard earned point at Mansfield when we were all ready to jump off Beachy Head....

We are going up, believe me.

Not for those that believed.

For all the 100s of negative fans. There’s 100s of positive fans.

The believers. Who believed at Mansfield that was the turning point. Massive point.

When others were saying what am I plan. Citing. Poor away form. Citing every negative when they hadn’t even witnessed how we played at FGR away and Colchester away.

We win 4-0 so few times that I'm going to enjoy tonight. What joy my club can bring me.

people didn't need to be at FGR or Colchester, they just needed to gauge the reaction of those that were.
We were well down the form table and struggling for a point and a decent performance.
But credit where it's due, we've turned it round, sit in top two of the form table and have the momentum with us.
I think you're right to pinpoint the Mansfield game as the turning point.
