7pm is a bit shit, the 45 minutes or an hour does make loads of difference in time to get there when working.
I have had to change my shift so I can get there on time, pain in the arse

It'll be interesting to see turnout tomorrow. I'd imagine a lot of people will be doing the same.

7pm KO isn't that ideal either.
Just from eyeballing it on the ticket site there's a fair few more sold for tomorrow than Saturday, although still a shit load left for both

Oh interesting. Thought it'd be the other way around. Suppose people will probably make a more last minute decision with friendlies though.

Doesn't help a lot of people are away.

Think I’m on the ferry when this is on, is this on streaming at all?

Taking my two daughters to the game. My oldest is 5 and she’s been twice before (as she’s repeatedly told her sister!) and the youngest is 4 and it’ll be her first game.

I don’t expect to last the full 90, and I’ll be packing various contingencies in the backpack, including iPads as a very last resort.

I have a feeling they’ll get bored of the game but won’t want to leave, hence the colouring books, iPads etc!

Anyone know if the fans village and the small family bit are open pre game?

I honestly think that many folk must have thought that by the time we played these bigger home friendlies we would have a new striker to ignite our hopes for the new season. If we get tonked in both games and our strikers look shite again , surely alarm bells will be ringing 🤷‍♂️

I find this an interesting point. Our fans often state what a good coach FL is (and I am not arguing against that).

Wright and Simms scored 19 goals each across all competitions for us in their first season. That combined out scored the brilliant Gyokeres the season before.

Okay last season Wright 12 (but injured for a long time). Simms 7 exceptionally disappointing.

Now I am just throwing this in for consideration. Their partnership was broken up (I'm not suggesting they combined like Wallace and Ferguson). But their goals took pressure of each other.

What I am really curious about is, are our fans saying Frank can't develop or get the best out of these players.

It's better that we find out any problems before the season starts, and playing decent opposition is good preparation.

A couple of years ago we were playing the likes of Exeter away as our final pre season match, and yes we looked ok, but it was only papering over the cracks, it didn't push us, and taught us very little, and we started the season poorly.
