Back to normal formation

Markello to start

Do we know why he wasn’t in the squad?

Hopefully Ipswich lose to Boro on Sunday and we nick a 1-0 win to seal the title.

Big City win incoming. Pompey have played out of their skins in the last week to get to where they are, they'll be physically and emotionally knackered and like us v Wed will subconsciously be thinking they're safe, even if not mathematically confirmed. Bound to be a tailing off of performance and energy levels.

Whereas we have the majority of the pressure on us lifted, but still enough (winning the league) to maintain focus. I think we go out Tue with a bit of swagger, score early and it turns into a great night.

We thought that Blackburn would be knackered , after playing Saints on Tuesday, but they weren’t, so Frank will hopefully tell them to get back to normal for the remaining games & make us champions .
Pompey having a second wind , but we don’t want that old boy scenario, of Chaplin coming back to spoil our party !

Lampard said after Blackburn that he knows we need to play like we did for the last 20 mins in the remaining games. Hopefully the handbrake comes off, we see wingers out wide and some more risks being taken. Need momentum and a couple of wins from the last three to finish strong and get the title.

Got a feeling we may lose this. We've been celebrating promotion and although it's highly likely Portsmouth will stay up they still mathematically need a result to confirm it.

I'm assuming we won't approach it the way we did at Blackburn, which was set up far too negatively at the start.

If we're not looking to bring Esse back next year, drop him from the squad for markelo so he can be more involved with the team on the pitch ahead of next season.

Would love it if we could clinch the title in this game to allow players that will be leaving such as Allen, probably Bidwell and possibly Wilson a last home appearance against Wrexham and they can get subbed off to a standing ovation.

Can do all that on the pitch after the game tbh
