He's a better keeper than Wilson. If his head is right I'd have him playing ahead of Wilson every day.

I thought Moore was one of the best keepers we've had recently before his dramatic drop in form, and sadly it sounds like the issue with him wasn't an ability one

We need to put this one to bed in the first half and make the spectacle a non entity for the baying TV pundits and viewers

If our injury list gets much worse he could play in midfield.

Think I read that an average expected result for teams with a similar gap between us & Maidstone is only 2-0 or 3-0. Given some of the outlandish score predictions on here, should the result end up like that there are clearly going to be some disappointed people on this message board, even if we win!

I've seen the England national team struggle to put minnows and part timers to the sword on so many occasions, that while I hope we can run up a big win, I can't get too ahead thinking in those terms. The one way we won't win big is if the team are as complacent about the outcome as some of our fans are.

2 or 3-0 will be just fine.

As others have said, 1-0 will be scoffed at, 6-0 will be “it’s only Maidstone”

Yes and for that reason we should bowl ourselves over for them and be respectful. Haven’t you learned this yet?!

I’m calm collected and ready for the next round. If we lose tonight I’ll take on Saddlebrain’s debt to mankind

If we have 38 shots we’ll beat them. The Ipswich game was a case of if being Maidstone’s day

4-1. I think they’ll score but we will have more than enough to win comfortably

The only stat to worry about is “0 shots off target”

It’s an anomaly game 99/100 times Ipswich win that easily

I may have been harsh on Moore recently, but looking back he was quality in his first year and is most definitely a good shot stopper and distributer thats why he had premier league interest in the Summer of 2022. Its a shame he’s dropped off wonder what it is as you dont just lose ability over night, but I also appreciate it may be a private matter so yeah

Get the point FP. And I obviously trust the management team/backroom staff whose job this is.

But even MR said post game on Friday he wasn’t fit enough to start/play the whole game (or something along those lines).

Palmer is very creative, on his day I think he’s better than O’hare when he’s on his day. Just when Palmer’s not on it which is very often he’s not great and we’ll never get a full game out of Palmer

+1 for this view too.

But even so not sure how I’d feel if he was to start - he’s been so out of it.

Palmer's the most talented player at the club.

Cue ridicule.

I’m back to thinking that on our day we can lose to anyone
We’ve lost our midfield scorers so Mr Simms and Mr Wright it’s over to you…..
Let’s see what you’re made of.

Yeah, I’d imagine he wants to play regularly at his age and he’s just not going to get that here. Hope he can finish the season strongly even if that’s contributing off the bench. Been a great player for us
