Three of those four games have been away, one with ten men for an entire half and two with illness and bent referees.

I think we’re better than Leicester and Soton. I think we’re a way off Ipswich. Team is on fumes already. But my main concern is next season if we’ve got a team that can’t play above its level.

There were a lot of questionable passes and decisions from players in our own half.

We've gotten away with them recently, but Ipswich are much better quality than we have faced lately.

Thankfully favourable results mean tonight was almost a free-hit, and we are effectively back to where we were a coupe of games ago.... but it gives Ipswich massive impetus and also can't have done our confidence much good.

Rudoni just looks like a luxury player who gets in the way at the moment.
I doubt Lampard will drop him though because he's viewed as 'quality'.
The Wright, Simms problem is getting serious. Maybe they will offload Simms in January and replace him. But that situation is shaping up badly for the run in.

People said the same about Ipswich after they beat us at home, and yet they were no closer to us before tonight. They are streaky.

We will recruit aggressively I think, but Ipswich genuinely have a Championship super squad which cost far more to assemble than we have available.

Had a feeling Clarke would be the one to do the damage however that's the worst I have seen us play for ages. Rudonis touch and all round play has gone to shit... We need reinforcements otherwise I worry a big drop off is coming
Rudoni having a free role appears ro be the main issue .. he has no fucking idea what hes doing half the time , completely slows us down

Beaten by a better side on the night. Take a lot of stick for it but Torp for me is a luxury player. He and Rudoni anonymous tonight. Van Ewijk doesn’t even pretend to defend anymore. For some reason at the start of the second half we lost our heads and tried to win the free kick game rather than the football match. One of those nights. We’ll be fine

We’ve played teams with bigger budgets and given good accounts of ourselves pre-Lampard. Not done it once since. Generally we beat teams worse than us and lose to teams better than us and that’s not great for a newly promoted side. We need huge amounts spending and I hope King realises that.

Ipswich had our number from the start tonight but some of the individual errors were so jarring.

Think the back line will look much better with Thomas and Dasilva back- Brau looked very nervous tonight and was probably the worst game for him to come in for.

Got to go and batter Charlton now and sign at least 2/3 players in Jan.

First half Grimes was covering Brau and we got bossed in mf. Haji had only three touches. Vera kept hoofing the ball up the pitch straight back to them. Wright took a shove in the back when it was anywhere near him. Better second but not enough. The illnes and fatigue won out in the end I think. I had hoped for more from Rudi tonight I must say. Two obvious pens yet again might thave balanced things up a little.

What was frustrating was that we didn’t challenge for any second balls. We were sluggish in and out of possession. When grimes not at his best we are relatively poor. Back 4 all over the place and midfield non existent. EMC too engaged in trying to muscle the defender instead of beating him on the ground. Wright ineffective
