Simms was on a goal-scoring run, though. Both streaky. Either on a goal scoring run or outside of that absolutely stinking the joint out.
Yep agree with this. Crucial for us in the championship, but would be less important in the PL as much more likely to be caught outTonight also signalled to me what I have been saying about Grimes' suitability for the Premier league. He came up against a really athletic and strong midfield today and really struggled.
What you can do is have your full back not miles out of position letting Clarke have acres. Can't be bothered to read through the thread to be honest.
The sensible take from all this though is, we were very poor first half, but second half, much, much better and we were beginning to dominate the game.
One very unlucky deflection later and it turned the whole game back round again and we looked lost.
These things happen. We corrected what was wrong at half time and looked like the team who were going to score next
That Clarke goal really looped into the net. Not a lot you can do about that.
Now we have to just get back on track again against Charlton. Win there and we are into the January transfer window.
Keep the faith.
He cost them £18m. What they have at their disposal is unbelievable.I think that Egeli was upwards of £16 million alone, says it all, no panic yet, transfer window could be the catalyst
Exactly and he's done fuck all to do thatSimms was on a goal-scoring run, though.
Wright shouldn't have just been handed the shirt, he should have had to earn it back.
Their striker was much better at challenging and holding up passes to feet.Never, ever, in a month of Sunday's did i ever think id be wishing BTA would hurry back from injury to replace Rudoni. But the sooner the better. Weve been poor for a few weeks now. How much of that is down to illness? How much is that down to Rudi playing instead of BTA? All i do know is Rudi is a shadow of the player we know he can be. And questions seriously need asking whether he should be starting ahead of Eccles on Thursday.
Also, for all the people who immediately refused the addition of Bamford out of hand, tonight was crying out for a player like him. Every ball forward just came straight back with Haji offering fuck all. All those who said he was shit, he's scored 5 for a poor blunts team, in that same time Haji has a big fat fuck all zero against his name. Just saying.

It’s at the point where Rudoni could maybe do with some time coming off the bench instead.Never, ever, in a month of Sunday's did i ever think id be wishing BTA would hurry back from injury to replace Rudoni. Easy tigerWorried we’re going to seriously implode
It’s very unlikely that he was the person fouling every timeYet some people didnt even think EMC did anything wrong!
Yes but in that situation he was, and we still had people on here crying bloody murder. It’s very unlikely that he was the person fouling every time
What?Easy tiger
He gives us a calm outletMight trigger a few.. but we miss Dasilva
No , we were poorWas it poor or is that just us we’ve been getting away with it
That Sheffield United aren’t a parachute team?
It wasn't just a lucky deflection, though. One very unlucky deflection later and it turned the whole game back round again and we looked lost.
We will have to agree to disagree then. We looked the most likely to score and were on top. We were dominating the game.I disagree with the common consensus that we were hugely better in the second half. It was hard to be worse than the first. I felt throughout Ipswich were likely to win it.
Because of how inconsistent the ref was. It's really not hard to grasp.Yes but in that situation he was, and we still had people on here crying bloody murder.
And Simms and Torp.Wright and Rudoni bang out of form
We were not dominating lolWe will have to agree to disagree then. We looked the most likely to score and were on top. We were dominating the game.
The lucky deflection changed everything
Three of those four games have been away, one with ten men for an entire half and two with illness and bent referees.Relegated teams. Sheff Utd are a parachute side same as Luton are
He absolutely did cause he was wound up. If someone stuck a thumb up my arse I'd be wound up too... Sexual harassment and a trip to a police cell in the streets but the ref was like... Nah mate looks fine.Yet some people didnt even think EMC did anything wrong!
Yeah happy to disagree. Would encourage you to watch the ten minutes before the goal. We were not dominating. Rushworth made a great save just before. We will have to agree to disagree then. We looked the most likely to score and were on top. We were dominating the game.
The lucky deflection changed everything
And Simms and Torp.
I didn't say "just one lucky deflection."It wasn't just a lucky deflection, though.
It was the chance of a break with Rudoni free, but the wrong pass was made into a dangerous area, they win it, one pass and they're in. That summed up the performance; so many times making the wrong decision, it was a performance that lacked any intelligence. That's what's most frustrating.
We’ve lost against a team that was in the PLWhat?
That’s rubbish Otis. Outplayed for all of the game apart from the first 10 of the second half.We will have to agree to disagree then. We looked the most likely to score and were on top. We were dominating the game.
The lucky deflection changed everything
