Probably haven't released the squad numbers because they know they will get filled in on the socials for not offering number printing yet.

Seems bizarre that they can't get that particular duck in a row after a couple of years.

not sure if it's still the case but weren't the numbers/letters supplied through a central EFL supplier? So high demand from the entire league and likely not enough capacity to fulfil it in that time frame.

If he starts Sheaf it's because he thinks he is our best option for the role surely?
5 subs and a long season others will get their chance to shine.

When I wrote sadly, I was answering the question of will Frank be brave and play Torp, Sheaf is a nailed on certainty to play seeing as though he faced the press for pre match media 'frenzy'

Are we all convinced Haji is that far away? By the time you’re getting minutes on the pitch you’re generally only a week or so off.

I’m sure Haji will play, suspect that might be 30 mins off the bench though.

Don't they normally release squad numbers, did I miss that? Maybe there's so few new players they've just decided everyone is staying the same.

Not seen any announcement on captaincy either so assume we're sticking with Sheaf.

The notion of changing captain is ridiculous, zero good comes from it. It's a ceremonial role and only serves to piss off the person who loses it

Didn't we do that stupid "club captain" and "on field captain" thing though?

Bit of a tough call on the front man, but I'd give it to asante for a few games and see how he does. If wright is fit i would imagine he would start over both BTA and Simms but let's see. 2-1 a reasonable scoreline I think.
I think Simms is probably a better player but I prefer someone that runns his arse off so BTA for me right now.

We start off against three of the potential
“ weak” teams. A slow start would not bode well this season.

That’s always a thing. If Sheaf isn’t playing for any reason someone else will be captain for the game but Sheaf is still club captain (do we have a vice captain like Fadz used to be?)

Left it late to get a ticket for tomorrow, my ideal locations are gone, doesn't tend to be the most raucous atmosphere at the Northstand when compared to the other end, but beggars cant be choosers i guess. I noticed stand 5 had some spaces, im pretty sure i knwo the answer but can anyone confirm if that's the lowerish stand right near the away fans? Stand 6 is always closed right? Trying to decide where to go.

Yeah so did I. If Sheaf is playing he takes both roles. But if he’s injured or subbed off or dropped then the laws of the game state a captain is required for the match so one is assigned.

Blues were the better team but didn’t really create anything. Ipswich were awful.

Nice that SaddleTwat hasn't flapped his gob and ruined the suspense. Is it going to be Asante or Simms.......Bidwell or Da Silva. Can't sleep.
