Apart from alarming rate of injuries our strength in depth in defence really showing now.

But for one silly lapse vs Vale, should have been two consecutive clean sheets.

Yesterday was first clean sheet since Luton away.

This will be another tight game, no easy games at all in this division. 2 - 1 , Bayliss, Biamou.

A bit off piste, but can I say how much I enjoyed meeting, by chance, Ovduk 78 yesterday at Carlisle. He travels from the central belt of Scotland with his son to watch Cov, great supporters. They’re down for the Chesterfield game tomorrow - so good luck to the team and supporters tomorrow, and safe journey for those making long trips to see their beloved Sky Blues. 2-0 win.

Happy New year!

This game is MASSIVE. be that twelfth man. The football seems to be getting better.

If we play like we can we will win.

I think there will be a good atmosphere today. That could be quickly nullified though if Chesterfield decide to build trenches, hardly come out of their own half and start time wasting from about the 6th minute.

Looking forward to it, I wonder if Nazon will even be on the bench today?

Can see Ponticelli getting some time today, not too sure about McNulty and Ponticelli though unless we massively change our approach play.

Happy new year to all of you.
After my five fold on Saturday which I picked up £330 quid for £2 here are my tips for today.
Another five fold acca,Derby,Portsmouth,Scunthorpe,Shrewsbury,Coventry.
£5 pays around £203.

Not 1 post from Nick in this thread? I hope he's OK as I plan to get up at 4am tomorrow to follow the game. Must congatulate all who contributed to game against Carlisle (except Grendull who chucked in the wasps 1/2 way through game) as it was focussed on the play not the ref and lino. Well done all and hope for more of same in 6 hours time.

Jeez spoke to soon he posed 4 minutes ago

I would expect a couple changes simply because of the short amount of time between games, can see ponti starting up front possibly, not sure how many other changes we can make; but possibly Stevenson back in the middle,

Going to have to be changes.

Seems like Duck's not involved. DKE had cramp on Saturday, but surely HAS to play, but then Willis will surely be out, as a dead leg takes days to heal.

Beavon went off injured, Davies seemed to be carrying an injury. Can Doyle play twice in such quick succession?

Doesn't look good and I expect a few surprises today and a very, very weak bench packed with kids.

Think we might see the surprise inclusion of Jordan Thompson perhaps. Certainly on the bench at least.

I can see him bringing Biamou back in, if DKE is out I would be tempted to put Biamou on the right with Ponticelli and McNulty up front.

It's a worry.

I expect Maycock, Thompson and Finn all to be in the squad today. The other DKE too.
