For anyone digging wright out there were 2 touches today when he was prem league class, absolutely killed the Centre half twice, the first half was one of the best peformances I’ve seen, played some great Football, only thing I’d say is we don’t need to keep with the long throws, it’s getting boring, mix it up a bit

Should we revert back to short corners as well?
That always served us well didn't it?

Haji is a weird p!ayer. He can have absolute stinkers of games and score a couple or like today can look class but couldn't score in a brothel with a handful of £50 notes.

Great to get back to winning ways yesterday, against a very good ( unexpected ) Brizzle team .
As stated previously, we are very easy to read now ….. long throw into the box ( percentage football ) , everyone back when defending corners etc ( madness in my eyes ) & where’s a plan B at our corners ……
A bit more flexibility to unlock these teams , would be good , but what do I know …….We are top of the league 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

The more I think about it, the more brilliant a win I think that was.

We are going to have games where we don't play that well, so it's all about getting the points however we can. Doesn't matter how we get them. Sometimes we need to scrape through.

Look at the table! We are now 12 points clear of the team in 3rd, which of course is really 13 points in reality, because of our fantastic GD.

We got back to winning ways and got a clean sheet to boot.

Everything looks mighty fine this morning.

Predictable maybe but teams still have to defend very well to stop us even then

And the goals are coming from everywhere, which makes it even harder to defend against. Wright, Simms, BTA, Rudoni, Torp, Sakamoto, Mason-Clark, plus the odd one or two from Thomas and Kitching as well.

We have threats all over the pitch.

Just watched the highlights, seemed a definite pen on Wright just before half time.

If you mean this one I 100% agree with you. Imagine that instead of a keeper it’s a defender that comes out, gets nothing on the ball and clatters into Wright. It gets given every time. I don’t know why keepers are allowed to do it?!

The reaction on here during the game was embarrassing.

It amazes me after all the years of shit so many people still have such levels of entitlement.

It wasn't a perfect performance, but yesterday was my favourite kind of result, really had to grind it out.

A very even game. Bristol came with a clear game plan to sit back and then pump it long to Armstrong on the break which worked well. If he could finish he would be unbelievable as a player. They defences resolutely by in large but we still had some very good chances.

Thought EMC and Da Silva were very good.

You can tell the midfield struggles when Grimes has a slightly off day, but he wasn't awful, just not exactly on it. Thought kitching was bullied a bit which required Thomas to cover for him on a number of occasions.

Unfortunately when it's player vs keeper 1 on 1, referees have "is he likely to score" in the minds. And they shouldn't. Anywhere else on the pitch, we get a free kick for a clumsy tackle.

Since opposition have started to prepare against long throws ours have been pretty much void! More often than not it sets the opposition on a counter attack!

I watched replays from different angles and I don't think it was a pen.

We should take it as a compliment that teams come to the CBS with big game plans, and from what I've seen lately they're finding ways to make life difficult for us.

I saw two stood ready to crowd out Torp and block his shots on the edge of the area yesterday. It worked, but should free up others once we realise what they are doing. Need to work on plan b.

Has to be a penalty surely? From the flight of the ball after the challenge it doesn't look like the keeper got anything of the ball. Even if Wright doesn't score directly from there he could have pulled it back across goal. Not that that's relevant.

Not getting the penalty calls this year at all.

Unfortunately from that angle you can't tell if the keeper got anything on the ball. You could also argue that wrights going in with a high foot. I didn't think it was a pen at the time and I'm still not 100% convinced from this ankle.

Atmosphere has noticeably dropped.

We need to take agency and do more as fans to keep it going. We don’t have to just accept it as “one of those” because we’re not underdogs anymore. The lads would really benefit from it being bouncing even when the game is tense

We don’t want to end up like the happy clappers up the road with their terrible atmosphere

The atmosphere apart from singers corner has been poor for 2-3 games now

I agree a bit with @skyblue_55 & would like to see a bit more variety on corners & throw-ins, mixing them up a bit will hopefully put some doubt in to teams to how to defend them & give us more space in the penalty area when we take long throws or corners into 6 yard box.

One thing we haven’t done as far as I can remember is try quick long throws. We take an age to setup for long throws when if we were on our toes there would be opportunities to play long throws into the channel or into the number 9. It should have to be a choice between a short throw or just load up the penalty area and try to stick it on someone’s head.

It's been getting worse for a lot longer than that. People are only just realising it.

Too many using the 'it is still better than most grounds in the league' unfortunately.

Proper lack of banter between fans, despite Bristol fans regularly goading us. Years ago that would have got people going.
