It's starting to piss me off that referees keep penalising EMC for just being stronger than every full back.

The problem is EMC always raises his arms in close proximity to opponents…even when he doesn’t impede others with this it puts doubt in the refs mind.

first 20-25 mins was like watching a team from the league above. We started so well. Not great second half but did enough to win. Handbrake off vs. Saints, please! a week to rest and then repeat the Boro performance.

Can we all please recognise this is a class group of players. I thought we were the better side throughout, but Bristol City definitely had their moments too, to be honest.

This is the Championship, we are not going to have many easy games, Bristol City and Preston are both very capable Championship sides, and to pick up four against them is very good going.

Special group of players and a great win!
It was a great win and games like this earn a special kind of recognition that is so different to the trouncing of QPR earlier in the season.
I thought the game was a lot closer than you’re giving credit for and whilst it’s stating the blindingly obvious that it could have ended 0-0, I think it could have been as high as 3-3.

Yep, xG is almost identical and Bristol actually had more Big Chances.

Yep, I think we gained two points today that we should’ve picked up Tuesday.

Dasilva is such an unbelievably tidy player - just checked the stats, he had more touches than anyone on the pitch and made the same number of passes as Grimes. That touch bringing it down out of the sky after a Bristol clearance in the first half was sublime.
Yet nob heads still insist he was crap today.
I don't think they watch the match, just sit down and decide he will be crap before the KO.
Every time players are marked out of 10 on any social media, he always scores way too low.

Two lads in front of me, who are always piss miserable and frankly, the worst type of football fan, actually said “I cant wait for Dovin to be back” in the first half.

i took great pleasure in very very loudly shouting “yes bring back dovin this guy is terrible” when each time Rushworth made those saves at the end.
It is that weird football take that the player who is not playing is always better than the one that is.

Only criticism I have of him is his delivery needs to be better, but generally speaking our crosses haven’t been great anyway. Does very well winning the headers he does for such a short fella, set up a goal today from it too.

The forests will have burned, the icecaps melted, Europe will have been ravaged by decades of war, humanity, dominated by their AI overlords, will be eking out an existence from what little resources remain

Bristol City and Preston will still both be very capable Championship sides.
I loved the Preston fans take on their team. Every season we spend £10 million and finish tenth.
You could say the same fro Bristol, but they spend a lot more money.

Win and just get the job done. If Wilson or Collins were in goal today it would have been a draw or more likely a defeat.

Yep, have always said that along with his shooting that is pants, and his failure to try to shoot in good positions.
Must be all in the head because Grimes shooting is not much better, unless he is trying to knock Tatsu out.

Just back…certainly not a vintage performance. I thought their lads up top looked decent, especially yer man Armstrong.
Rushworth saved us a few times…the one he saved with his leg after a deflection and the one from Armstrong from close range were brilliant.
Fuck it. We won. We’re 12 points clear of 3rd. Boom time!

Whilst I agree with your comment overall, a point well made, I think you're slightly misrepresenting what I am saying when you say the "game was a lot closer than you're giving credit for".

I standby by what I did say and that was I thought we were the better team throughout. I am not suggesting we were any more than "just better", it was, as you say, a close game but one we were better, and the score line accurately reflect this.

I was absolutely talking us up, as a fan talking from a biased perspective, and not downplaying Bristol City in any way. As you can tell from the rest of my comment, I like to think I am very fair and have a healthy dose of respect for many teams in this division.

Only thing that’s annoyed me the last few home games is all the people leaving early, seriously why bother going then leaving early. Clap the players off for the effort their giving

Mostly the North Stand as always. Full of no shows, people who spend time in the concourse from 30 minutes and leave on 80-85 minutes.

When you're trying to see out a game, it's a shame they can't stay and back the players see the game out.
