We missed Shipley badly today. I appreciate the need to give young players a rest but we needed him. JMD Doyle Bayliss Shipley would have won this game.

There was acres of space down either wing, especially in the first half.

At the moment Barrett doesn’t look up to it. I hope he improves.

He didn't against MK, certainly not a left midfielder.

No idea why he put him and Kelly back in.

I don't think they are terrible together, it just nullifies creativity. Bayliss came in and was like a breath of fresh air and I did say in the week that once Kelly was fit again we had a dilemma.

If it were down to me it would be an either/or scenario.
Doyle and Bayliss, or Kelly and Bayliss and just not Kelly and Doyle.

Robins sticks with the previous formula it is going to kill us.

Can't understand why Robins doesn't bring Kelly back more gradually, putting Baylis on later in game. Kelly's fitness must have suffered while he was injured.

It must be a fitness thing. The team that beat Cambridge would've won today.

Just got home from the match - my has already been said about the team's performance. Forest Green were far more up for it and deserved to win. Did hospitality and theirs is streets ahead than the Ricoh. The vegan dumpling stew was fantastic as was the rest of the Vegan Fayre. They were welcoming and friendly there. Jokingly asked to meet the CEO and we did. She came to our table and spent time with us chatting. Her name is Helen Taylor and she is lovely. I'm in love lol. I really do hope they stay up- they deserve to. Several other Sky Blue supporters apart from us were suitably impressed. FGR is now my second team. As for Sky Blues today ? Shit.

Well, that was shite. They looked stronger, fitter, and quicker than us all over the pitch. To top it off had to sit in the home end and listen to 3 FGR morons giving out some of the worst ‘banter’ I’ve ever heard at a football match. Apart from them the FGR regulars seemed a nice bunch.

What is going on with the KE twins?, they come from nowhere into the starting 11 or match day squad, then disappear as quickly as they arrive

Devon was holding his hamstring for a good 10 mins before he was subbed on Tuesday, so he must be injured.

Fair enough.

I think Dion will be back in against Accrington, rather him at RB than Willis

Makes the Stanley game even more important. We simply have to win that game the put us in to a decent position for our tough run in. The team that was out today would struggle to make the playoffs, we need to be the team that turned up against Swindon and Cambridge to get autos.

The next 4 games look pivotal for what we're going to be playing for afterwards. If we miss out on the autos or playoffs by 6 points or less, Robins only has to look at these 2 games against FGR as the reason why. Nobody else around us will drop more than 2 points against them this season.

Being a Cov supporter at times does your head in, the players do the hard things and perform when it comes to lesser teams they fuck it up again.....grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Accrington play Swindon on Tuesday so we will have to keep an eye on that one for sure.

Hopefully they will both lose.

And on Saturday, at least Exeter play Wycombe and Mansfield face Swindon.

They can't all win, so if we can grab 3 points we will be gaining on at least 2 clubs in those fixtures and obviously 3 on Accrington.

If you are on about the fracas/ handbags before the start of the game it was the racist remakes the started that off.
Got to be honest I was involved in it, he was told to keep his remarks to himself or direct them at us as our parents are foreign.
The 2 pints he had had before the game must have gone to his head.
Picking on an 18 year old girl steward fuck me he felt really hard.

Yes I was stood in front of those dicks. They also called most FGR players faggots. Not all youngsters either. Also one of the worse offenders was a blonde woman.

I'm afraid not. Fans were kicking off with one another at the end too. Fair play for standing up against the racist nonsense, it's exactly what I would've done.

Racist supporter called out by other supporters. Racist was an absolute tool and probably always will be! Young Female Steward & he chooses to abuse her for her nationality. Apparently being a season tickets allows you to be a bully and a racist.
His friends all thought he was some kind of hero, all an embarrassment to the name of Coventry City!
I guess all clubs have idiots who follow them but we definitely have our fair share!

Robins

Deserved that. Didn’t do enough

Grub has been down our left hand side all afternoon

Too slow

Too many people limping around

Davies fractured collar Bone

Both ends of the table and we weren’t fighting enough

Won’t say we weren’t up for it but they were first to the ball

Created chances early on but too lax

Certainly annoying

Poor poor afternoon

No excuses

Came to a team who have done the double over us

Coming away from home we haven’t been good enough

Grimmer done his hamstring over stretching

Pitches have been heavy but same for both teams

Stokes over stretched and done his hamstring too. Not sure if a tear

Needed to see the game out

Got to put it behind us

Lots of plaudits recently and need to stop reading that. Stop reading the press

No excuses

3 games in a week but other teams in the division doing the same

Made it really difficult for ourselves

Do you not think that we got the lucky breaks against Swindon and Cambridge? To be fair, at least they dug in, it was backs to the wall.

Some of the stuff today ranged from the cringeworthy to the depressing. Made me question if I should bother going to away games.

Apart from all the homophobic stuff, the guy next to me was calling Osbourne a C**t every time he was within 3 yards of the terraces.

You’re right, some of our fans think because we’re in league 2, we only have to turn up to win. None of these teams roll over for the mighty Sky Blues, and to be fair, we rode our luck against Swindon and Cambridge, so perhaps this was coming. We’re not going to walk this league, teams are well organised, and it’s going to be tight right up to the end of the season. Our season’s form suggests that we’ll be competing for a play off place.

Are form is reflected in our position which is mid table and our latest performance.
Very poor performances, although picking up wins with them, will see us mid table.
Fear the worst for next season if we can't step it up.
Time running out.

When we got it back to 1-1 we should never have let them back in to it. Just a bad performance all round today, nobody more than a 6.

The middle is required to get the ball to the forwards so we can assess them.

Best of it he said his Dad was a Turkish cypriot when I called him out for that he said it didn't count as it was different then.
He actually believed the shit he was shouting.
TBH we had to move away in the end or it would have ended up getting ugly, not getting arrested for these dickheads.

Few interesting chants from the village ultras behind their goal.

'You're just a rugby club'
'From Premier League to Forest Green'
'We took the piss at the Ricoh'

However, the one that pissed me off was: 'You let your club die'. Singing that to a set of fans who sold their woeful away end out in 45 minutes.

We had too many players off form today.

Kelly and Doyle were poor, Stokes and biamou also not very good.

McNulty and Baylis and Willis were excellent. tried their best to lift city but it wasn't to be today.

The injuries didn't help as Shipley would have come on for Barrett early in 2nd half. But the two injuries were a real set back.

Ah well. Onto the next game.
