Robins

Deserved that. Didn’t do enough

Grub has been down our left hand side all afternoon

Too slow

Too many people limping around

Davies fractured collar Bone

Both ends of the table and we weren’t fighting enough

Won’t say we weren’t up for it but they were first to the ball

Created chances early on but too lax

Certainly annoying

Poor poor afternoon

No excuses

Came to a team who have done the double over us

Coming away from home we haven’t been good enough

Grimmer done his hamstring over stretching

Pitches have been heavy but same for both teams

Stokes over stretched and done his hamstring too. Not sure if a tear

Needed to see the game out

Got to put it behind us

Lots of plaudits recently and need to stop reading that. Stop reading the press

No excuses

3 games in a week but other teams in the division doing the same

Made it really difficult for ourselves

You’re right, some of our fans think because we’re in league 2, we only have to turn up to win. None of these teams roll over for the mighty Sky Blues, and to be fair, we rode our luck against Swindon and Cambridge, so perhaps this was coming. We’re not going to walk this league, teams are well organised, and it’s going to be tight right up to the end of the season. Our season’s form suggests that we’ll be competing for a play off place.

He could have when Davies went off or when Grimmer went off (granted it was 0-0 when Grimmer went off, but it was still obvious Kelly wasn't in it).

He put JCH on for Biamou, even though the problem wasn't the strikers as they were getting absolutely nothing. It was pointless.

Wycombe had a player sent off on 48 as well.

That's why they will win games like that, they don't sit back and take it.
We made our third forced substitution on 70 mins, Wycombe started making tactical substitutions on the 74 min and two more again 10 mins later.

You’re moaning that Robins didn’t do something that Wycombe did when the truth is he never had the option.

I though we were shocking. Comical defending for the opening goal and lucky not to be one down already. A very soft penalty to get us back into it, a good finish for their second.

Overall we were just too weak. Very easily outmuscled. Offered nothing up front. Looked fragile at the back and just plain outbattled in the middle. If you'd said one of the teams had one of the best defences in the league, I wouldn't have said it was us. Completely shocking.

Yup and both Grimmer and Stokes with hamstring injuries.

That points to next week being

DKE McDonald Willis Haynes

Robins always seems a bit bitter after defeats and tries to shift the full blame on players than maybe admit he made a mistake in his selection.

Something along the lines of ‘players need to stop reading praise’ whatever that means

Agree with majority of comments I’ve read post match. The idea of Doyle and Kelly in a 4231 can be justified in the sense that it allows wide players to push on.
In a 442 they look rigid, flat and generally uninspiring.

More annoying for me despite the performance was the level of game management on our part. No need for us to try a quick throw in and play out from the back in the 39th minute. Then the 2nd with the ball on their left we’ve slid across to cover but completely unaware of players around us and have been punished.

Come on, really? Barrett was a passenger and utterly ineffective. Kelly had a good game in my opinion.

He had the option when Davies was injured, biamou wasn't forced either.

He could have taken the game to them, even without injuries we weren't doing anything. Robins has never gone all out when losing, so it's not as if injuries prevented it today and he does it every other time.

Just on way back...

They wanted it more simple as, we didn’t turn up and I can only remember one shot other than the penalty on target.

From the first minute they were first to the ball, more physical and proper wanting it.

A match to forget, soaked wet and miserable and a proper Micky mouse set up, bless em.

How did JCH do?

A little while ago, someone posted a picture of the league table with the bottom third/quarter highlighted and that we'd won so few games/points against those teams. Looks like that's extended again today. So frustrating!

It’s obviously a mental thing, players probably think they’re playing for the big team in the league so don’t perform against the smaller teams.

Watching and listening on ifollow some of our fans are absolute cretins, Torch is correct, very unpleasant and unnecessary.
As bad as we were FGR were better today. dust ourselves off. It is better to win one and lose one than draw two, so let's go again next week and pull Accrington back.

Robins messed up the team selection to start with but to be fair with the injury curse striking again he was limited in what he could do during the game.

Worrying that potentially we have 3 more players out for a while.

In fairness regardless of tactics a lot of players didn't turn up. Real lack of appetite once 2-1 down

According to the radio commentary Biamou was walking wounded when the substitutione was made. Fair enough Robins could have brought Vincenti on instead of Haynes but he didn’t have the opportunity to go all out attack like like Wycombe did having made forced changes including one attacking player already.

Just been on radio, sounds like he is still injured. Why are we changing winning teams to fit in somebody who isn't fully fit and struggling with injury?

Think Dion KE will have to be considered at right back, or could go back 3 with wing backs (assuming Stokes is out)

We may have DKE, Willis, McDonald, Hyam and Haynes to choose from -.
Must drop Barrett - I would prefer the battling of Beavon. Play Shipley and use either Doyle or Kelly alongside Bayliss (and only Kelly when he is fit, or Doyle is struggling)

He could still alter the tactics on the pitch and change the system.

He could have brought somebody on to take the game to them when we were 2-1 down.

He could have even slotted Kelly in at the back (he plays there pretty much anyway) and put Bayliss in the middle to drive forward at them.

That's why other teams will beat teams further down, we have seen some teams come at us when they are losing to try and get a result.

Yeh makes sense, shouldn’t have played don’t get it. He was blowing after 30 and gave the ball away countless times.

JCH has loads of attitude, he isn’t gonna take any shit if anyone. The way he took control of the free kick in the second half said it all.

We missed Shipley badly today. I appreciate the need to give young players a rest but we needed him. JMD Doyle Bayliss Shipley would have won this game.
