Yeah but look at the replies. This country has been radicalised by social media.

There's always been weirdos like that though. It's better that he is posting shite pictures on twitter that writing p*** on his local newsagent

Wife got ill, decided he needed to drive to Durham with 4 yo in case he needed a family member to look after the kid (he has family in London).

Then went for a day trip to Barnard Castle because he thought his eyesight wasn’t good enough to drive to London and he wanted to test it. By total coincidence it was his wife’s birthday that day and he took his 4yo along with him.

Government now hastily deleting previous advice and changing the rules so they can make out this was all above board. Also saying any parent would have done the same and that driving your car is a reasonable eye sight test.

Strapped his four year old and wife in the car and went for a 1 hour drive to test if he could drive while suffering from double vision. Not even making that up

Cummings has resigned. Let's move on and hold the fuckers to account for everything else.

Edit - I am sure I just read that but now can't see it

Even if he has, ultimately what does it matter? I don't see how it would actually change anything, apart from a feeling of vindication for many people- which is worth something I guess.

Yes vindication really is a domain of the left

"regret" must be now the most commonly used word in government over the last few months, its actually becoming the new "sorry", the word they desperately want to avoid saying- so they need to find another word to keep using.

Maybe because lying and deceit have already been allocated to the right.

I think Alistair Campbell took first f dibs - Cummings is a very poor imitation and should take lessons from the socialist bullshitter

The mental gymnastics people are going through to defend Cummings is quite remarkable.

Its like a contest of how many other random people can you mention who did things years ago to deflect from what is happening here and now. Its also a sure sign that they know there is no defence, there is just too much clear info- and therefore deflection & whataboutery are the last available position to try and take. It is kind of fascinating how desperate they are to protect this guy. All sense has gone- politics is now just the same as religion, you can do whatever you want is you're "one of us".
