Nandos too.

It's pretty amazing that all these businesses are taking the lead and closing, no matter the cost to them, to do the right thing for the safety of the whole country because the stupid government don't have the bollocks to do it.

Like the PL/EFL and other sports/events did too.

What are you going to do with yourself when this is over and you can't drone on about Boris Johnson?

Give it a rest, you are more bothered about whinging about him than anything else.

Why are people not allowed to criticise the government for failure to act during a crisis? It's one of the biggest and most important talking points around right now.

Starting to sound like those in the match threads who kick off whenever someone says that a player isn't having a perfect game.

They can, it's just when it becomes obsessive.

If Johnson said "nobody can leave their house" then people would be whinging about human rights.

Its as if they just want to use it as a stick to whinge about politics more than the actual issue.

Or when people want him to say something just to say the opposite.

Heard a bloke earlier moaning he didn't order ventilators. Do we really think the prime minister is in charge of purchasing?

That's not being political, I think they are all cunts and would say the same regardless of party.

Come on Nick. This is not about me moaning about Boris Johnson it's about the private sector taking big decisions because our government is too either too cowardly or too incompetent.

Do you not think that maybe I'm not just moaning at Johnson for the sake of it, but rather because I'd quite like us to put some measures in to save lives?

Yes the Prime Minister is responsible for the health service getting the resources it needs. What do you think his job is?

Do you understand how management responsibility works?

If it’s delegated it’s his job to delegate to someone capable, if he didn’t that’s on him.

That’s the job mate. As PM the buck stops with you. If he doesn’t like it he shouldn’t have gone for the job. It’s not all drinking with posh people and making a twat of yourself on telly.

Nick he's a senior politician I the party that has been in power for a decade. Their policies led to the nhs being under strength in their ability to deal with a pandemic.

To point that out is not point scoring but a simple truth.

John Lewis have pushed some staff to waitrose stores

We don't want all shops to close and the economy to stop. That would lead to a depression.

No.

He's being extremely non committal about everything leading to people either not knowing what's going on or just outright ignoring him.

Meanwhile many in the private sector are making decisions to close because the government won't do it for them.

The private sector are making bad decisions based on shortsighted ideas. If you don't keep the economy running you will not have the demand left to start it up again.

What actually needs to happen is police powers to enforce social distancing not a hibernation of the economy.

No it isn't bad enough. If it was we wouldn't have untold idiots ignoring every bit of advice.

If we listened to advice we wouldn't have to go into lockdown. But the open spaces are crowded. Shops are close to riot scenes. We have idiots trying to make out it isn't a problem. Maybe it is because they are themselves fit and healthy so personally don't see it as a problem. After all it is others that will die.

The OECD has said it'll take years for the economy to recover and that currently the economic shock caused by Covid-19 is worse than what followed during the financial crisis of 2008. Wake up, we're already in one.

Exactly, the government advice was correct but people ignored it so we are on our last warning. From the press briefing yesterday it looks more lime police powers to enforce social distancing rather than a full lockdown.

Masks aren't useless. They help stop the spread of the virus through droplets. They are effective in conjunction with other important measures like washing hands and isolation. It's one of the reasons SE Asia/China has been better at containing this than Europe. It's a cultural thing to do over there when you're I'll anyway. Pointless unless everyone does it though.

Nando's is banned from selling food on the premises , I'd suggest they're not doing it for anything other than economic reasons.
