That’s okay but the priority surely has to be someone in for Liam Kelly unless he is fit to go.

Doyle, Ogogo, Kelly, Bayliss, Andreu, Shipley all play/can play CM. Not sure it's even a need let alone a priority.

Another CB would be my priority but a striker won't hurt either.

Andreu and Hiwalu seem to be candidates for the slot behind a rejuvenated JCH, do we need / can we afford a third?

MR sounded a tad miffed when he said 'We haven't got a 28 goal' scorer....Having a dig at sisu for not backing him ???

Well it’s his decision to keep signing identikit forwards - if he had not lost Biamou to injury he’d have five forwards already.

Perhaps he learned a lesson from last year ...that players do unfortunately get injured and sometimes are out for the season..! Hence making sure there are alternatives

Sort of agree G, but it only takes a suspension, a couple of injuries and the no emergency loans rule to incapacitate a team, if the mishaps all happen in the same area of the team. It will of course cause one or two to be ticked off that they aren't first choice, but at least we should have players who ought to be able to fill those gaps when they almost inevitably occur. this is where clubs like Accrington (who were incredibly fortunate with lack of injuries last year) may come unstuck as the season progresses, whereas the bigger squads in this division ought to prosper.

MR said on CWR after the match that Liam Kelly is going to start training tomorrow so let's hope he will be fit an back in the team soon.

So he should have 5 right backs?

He can hardly say he hasn’t been backed!?! This squad is his. Bar the academy products, who have all signed new contracts under him so are also effectively his signings, he’s spent on wages and players - if he was to have a grumble at anyone it would have to be the recruitment guys, who I don’t think he likes very much but that’s based on very little intel, just a guy feeling

I agree. Right now if does feel the squad is bloated but come Xmas/New Year if we've picked up a few injuries the matchday squad may well be picking itself. Does always seem like those team with larger squads seem to have fewer injuries though. Possibly due to being able to occasionally rest a player so the stress on the muscles etc doesn't build up as much until eventually something gives way?

Not really. Only two are first team players. To decide on a one striker policy and keep signing one after the other is very odd.

All four are squad players and being paid. He seems to sign strikers and then decide they are not very good when they play

Hoping we get Chaplin in early this week but no doubt we will be waiting till the very last minute waiting on Pompey to get a player in first.
