Yeah! We should all put our hair in ponytails, go out dressed in our designer tie dye shirts and Jesus sandals and armed with leeks and cucumbers we'll go round threatening and intimidating other like minded people.

The police will say don't let them all gather in a field for the showdown, because that is exactly what they want!

A hot topic on all football forums? Nothing better to talk about? Yes it illustrates how our season has fallen away!

Think if you look back, Hobo, we've always had these kinds of threads, whatever the scenario.

I love threads like this! It started of as a musically themed footy violence thread and turned into a vegetarian restaurant guide with footy violence undertones. Now where else would you get that?

Have to say, it is an album I don't know so well. Bought all their first 4 albums, but then didn't buy any again until Apple Venue and Wasp Star.

Especially love Apple Venus and my favourite track on that is Easter Theatre. A gem!

Did anyone ever catch the 2 albums they released as The 'Dukes of Stratosphere'?

It's about timing aint it? For me Skylarking arrived at a particularly blissful time in my life. I love the previous albums too though, in fact XTC were one of those bands that I was truly obsessed with for a while.

Don't worry. I heard they made the album in Swindon but then tried to sell it to another town 60 miles away and it just didn't catch on, so they had to go back to Swindon with it eventually.

No. Packed in gigging back in about 1982 I think. Andy Partridge, the main writer and singer, suffers from stage fright and he walked off stage once in a concert and they never played another gig after that.

What a catalogue that band has though considering they were best known for a couple of singles. Really underestimated band for me.
