The only downside for me apart from the fact that we lost is that Ipswich are the main benefactors. Whilst this was a bit of a foregone conclusion I am still disappointed because I really cannot stand them.
I really do think Norwich will beat them.
Nodge fans are really confident, which is very much not their default setting

It has been a day of the bogey team strikes again. Middlesbrough cannot beat Bristol City, Millwall cannot beat Blackburn and Hull have a poor recent record against West Brom.

Watford are absolutely done btw. Even if we needed to win on last day to get the trophy, I'm sure we would

How do we need 12 points? Who below is us getting 20 on current form?
I'm saying it today with a hunch and likely probable outcomes; the side that finishes in second will have 85-88 points. It requires a decent run, but for one of the three behind you to beat the other two will require that.

Therefore in this setting, you'd probably only need to gain as many points as the side in second to win the title on GD. You'll therefore NEED a minimum of 85 points and a maximum of 88 points if there isn't a ridiculous cricket score elsewhere. If there is one of those that affclects GD that markedly, then 86-89 points, one more than the side in second, will give you the title, IMHO.

Of course not the end of the world, a major promotion and far preferable to suffering the playoffs again.

But chances to win actual silverware come along very rarely, and boy do I want that Championship trophy.
This 100%

Parading a bedsheet saying `Runners Up' through Broadgate wouldn't be the same as a Trophy saying we're Champions

I want us to go up more than win the title but Winning the title will just mean so much , it will cement it as OUR season
After being top for so long, it would be a travesty not to go up as champions now. Outside of the Ipswich result, everything else was more than what we could’ve hoped for. We’re still in a very strong position and another 6 game winning streak would be very welcome.

Says the guy who probably keeps typing into football forums while "on the nest" 😉
Oh when I'm on the nest, any forum can go bollocks, even my own beloved one!

But you didn't say you wanted to finish first rather than second as that is obvious, so you can't add the adage of "Oh but you get promotion too." As that would be your saying both the trophy and promotion are better than just promotion, which is obvious, but you didn't say that. You said the trophy was more important than the promotion, which is tosh. The promotion and 200M is the BIG prize. The trophy is nice too, but a mere bonus by comparison.

So again, you'd take the trophy but disqualification from the Prem, over a guaranteed finish in the autos and promotion? As if not, it's clear which of the two rewards is MORE important, even to you.

We need to get the city supporters back from Aussie with a board that says "we're back"

I didn't say it was more important, I said I wanted it more.

The trophy is for keeps.
