It's a funny old game, they were fuming when Edwards left but I think they'd be well off it if he was still in charge.

Could argue if someone took Lampard when we were at our peak, assuming we didn't pick a complete dud, it could have worked that way for us too. Sometimes things just work out and it feels like its meant to be, which it does a bit with Boro now. Hopefully we stop shitting the bed and can hold Ipswich off.I agree
Come on mate, he’s not been on the pitch for 12 games, going by that Simms is our best forward

I was just responding to your claim, Assante was the top goal scorer. Based on those stats, he clearly isn't, but not far off. What it does show , is despite Wright being Franks favourite, he doesn't score enough.Come on mate, he’s not been on the pitch for 12 games, going by that Simms is our best forward![]()
Be difficult, hopefully with Assante back, game after next, EMC back next week ( hopefully) and Frank the tank, things pick up.There will be twists and turns, my worry if that won't be us twisting and turning. It'll be more Millwall and Hull coming up along with Ipswich. Boro could easily go on a run and get 1 win in 6 or similar and then one of others go and get 5 wins out of 6. We basically need to end the season with 10 wins from 15... and I just don't see it.
Yeah but i sense we all know the time to drop Kitch & Thomas was not against OXFord. So how would you suggest he changes things, we set up more defensive on Saturday which was what a lot wanted and we couldn’t even score against Oxford, he sets up attacking to try and win games, rather see us come up short having a go at teams than play like we did Saturday, unless You wanted to see us play 532 with a back 5 who can’t defend and no wingers and 2 forwards who can’t hit a barn door at the minute, we’re a team who can’t defend but some fans want us to play more defensively, work that out

Our home form has been exceptional with those two. We missed BT aerial massively & Kitch probing passes against a weak side.
Time to consider a change was for nxt away match. Now Frank has a huge decision to make.
Feel he has to stay with Wolf & Lat whether he wants to or not ?? Yikes !
We do you know, Eccles, EMC?That second goal. We don’t do that. Instead of following up the shot they’d all stand in disbelief at the shot.
In other news, a big night down the bottom tonight
No but for us to finish in the playoffs the form will have been not good enough for over half a season ?
He will at that point be doing a bad job
Admire your optimism Pete. I'm a broken man right now.![]()
Yeah , back for West Brom, winner of the bench to put us clear at the top after our demolition of mbiro,I was just responding to your claim, Assante was the top goal scorer. Assante brings total energy, as well as goals. Will be great to have him back, with EMC and new Frank, as well. Hopefully things will change. Assante misses next game, I believe.
Despite winning 11 of those in the reverse fixtures? It’s achievable but we have to get back on form now, no excuses. There will be twists and turns, my worry if that won't be us twisting and turning. There was also a genuine expectation from the start of the season that we'd walk the league.I genuinely think our 2001 crash was worse - fans were angry for sure - someone attacked Hedman against Preston (?) I think but in that situation sacking the manager proved catastrophic

This was after the pompey game its all i could find , wed just won 5 of the previous 7 .. and then went onto win 2 of the next 3 .I genuinely think our 2001 crash was worse - fans were angry for sure - someone attacked Hedman against Preston (?) which in terms of the season as a whole was ridiculous- we were never out the top 6This was after the pompey game its all i could find , wed just won 5 of the previous 7 .. and then went onto win 2 of the next 3 .
We lost the plot in the final 8 games losing 7 View attachment 49117
We actually lost 15 games from December out of the 20 over the season
I'd go one further and make the semi finals one leg as well, with the teams finishing the highest having home advantage.Potential change to the playoffs being voted on.
Possibility of it going the same way as the National League (still the GM Vauxhall Conference, as far as I am concerned), where six teams qualify for the POs. teams finishing in places 5 to 8 play each other in a single game, the winners going onto the POs proper along with teams finishing in places 3 and 4.
It would keep the league even more lively for more teams for longer, but there would be the potential for some proper dross (hello, Preston) getting promoted.
Personally, I like them as they are, and if something's not broken, don't fix it.

I think it was the right time. Both have been poor for weeks. Whenever Latibeaudiere and Woolfenden have come in they did well, but never given a run.
Oxford gave them a game to bed in and get match sharpness. They kept a clean sheet, no howlers. To suggest we didn’t beat Oxford because of them is bonkers, we had enough possession and shots to do so.
The reason we didn’t beat Oxford, is because of their low block and good organisation, plus they are fighting for their lives. We often struggle against those tactics - party because our wingers don’t get behind defences and to the bye line often enough so our attackers are running onto the ball and defenders are facing their own goal.
One thing was noticeable last night with Middlesbrough at Sheffield United, the variation at corners free kicks and throw ins with both sides. With us it is very predictable what we are going to deliver. We lack quick thinking inventiveness that can catch the opposition on the hop.
The podcast with him and Claudio is a decent listen.I wouldnt call jim brown low IQ

We are, or should be, also fighting and doing it at home until with better quality. Agree that we’re generally too slow and predictable in attack right now but we were the opposite when we were doing well.
Grimsby was a Hedman brain fart when he passed it into midfield and they went onto score-Strachan running down the tunnel at the end to get away from the fans.Grimsby wasn't it that Hedman incident? Or am I just getting mixed up with the home defeat by them where he fucked up![]()

I dont think hes a genius either , just a normal guy who is the club historianEhhh, been a while but I recall his twitter not exactly being the stuff of genius.
For sure. On form we have a great squad, better than Boro. Just a shame they all went off boil at once. We do need to keep it on mind this team was blowing teams away 4s and 5s on the regular. It can happen again. Likewise other teams will hit rough patches, let's not pretend Boro are that amazingEMC , Grimes , onyeka , wright is better than conway , not sure i rate ayling that highly either
