Could argue if someone took Lampard when we were at our peak, assuming we didn't pick a complete dud, it could have worked that way for us too. Sometimes things just work out and it feels like its meant to be, which it does a bit with Boro now. Hopefully we stop shitting the bed and can hold Ipswich off.

Come on mate, he’s not been on the pitch for 12 games, going by that Simms is our best forward

I was just responding to your claim, Assante was the top goal scorer. Based on those stats, he clearly isn't, but not far off. What it does show , is despite Wright being Franks favourite, he doesn't score enough.

Assante brings total energy, as well as goals. Will be great to have him back, with EMC and new Frank, as well. Hopefully things will change. Assante misses next game, I believe.

There will be twists and turns, my worry if that won't be us twisting and turning. It'll be more Millwall and Hull coming up along with Ipswich. Boro could easily go on a run and get 1 win in 6 or similar and then one of others go and get 5 wins out of 6. We basically need to end the season with 10 wins from 15... and I just don't see it.

Be difficult, hopefully with Assante back, game after next, EMC back next week ( hopefully) and Frank the tank, things pick up.

So how would you suggest he changes things, we set up more defensive on Saturday which was what a lot wanted and we couldn’t even score against Oxford, he sets up attacking to try and win games, rather see us come up short having a go at teams than play like we did Saturday, unless You wanted to see us play 532 with a back 5 who can’t defend and no wingers and 2 forwards who can’t hit a barn door at the minute, we’re a team who can’t defend but some fans want us to play more defensively, work that out
Yeah but i sense we all know the time to drop Kitch & Thomas was not against OXFord.
Our home form has been exceptional with those two. We missed BT aerial massively & Kitch probing passes against a weak side.

Time to consider a change was for nxt away match. Now Frank has a huge decision to make.
Feel he has to stay with Wolf & Lat whether he wants to or not ?? Yikes !

Apologies for my flippancy. I can’t stand seeing someone else flying like we were earlier on while we get knocked off our perch, mostly by our own undoing. It’s pure cope. Maybe I should pack it in on here for the remainder because it’s gonna be rough. We can still do it and I do want to believe.

Please wake up City. Please. Understand what this means and wake up 🙏🏻

I’ll try really hard to stay away. No promises 😛

I think it was the right time. Both have been poor for weeks. Whenever Latibeaudiere and Woolfenden have come in they did well, but never given a run.

Oxford gave them a game to bed in and get match sharpness. They kept a clean sheet, no howlers. To suggest we didn’t beat Oxford because of them is bonkers, we had enough possession and shots to do so.

The reason we didn’t beat Oxford, is because of their low block and good organisation, plus they are fighting for their lives. We often struggle against those tactics - party because our wingers don’t get behind defences and to the bye line often enough so our attackers are running onto the ball and defenders are facing their own goal.

One thing was noticeable last night with Middlesbrough at Sheffield United, the variation at corners free kicks and throw ins with both sides. With us it is very predictable what we are going to deliver. We lack quick thinking inventiveness that can catch the opposition on the hop.
