Looks like they’re going full Parkinson-ball again. Sit deep, go long to the big man Kieffer Moore, and play from there. They initially deployed a fairly sensible strategy but they've fallen back into old habits of overpaying for aging players.
Big ask to rely on these players over a 46 game season.
It'll be more than enough for a lower midtable finish. The people rimming them on here may not be in a few years thoughTheir strategy is crazy. Can see why it worked in lower leagues but is going to get found out at this level IMO
First team footballers are generally getting younger as the demands to press and cover the pitch increase yet they're going the other way

It'll keep them up as it'll be effective at times and will inevitably get them points.
Still, relying on a soon to be 33 year old Moore for a full season is ambitious.
Tbf based on the Plymouth/Derby games it is exactly the type of team that will beat us
Remember how much Parkinson and Robins hated each other back in L1? It’ll be like that x1000 if they beat usWrexham away on a Friday night has ‘SBT Meltdown’ written all over it
Parkinson and Pressley hahaRemember how much Parkinson and Robins hated each other back in L1? It’ll be like that x1000 if they beat us
Was Parkinson the manager that Pressley described as being tactically prehistoric…or something?Parkinson and Pressley haha
Dark age football I thinkWas Parkinson the manager that Pressley described as being tactically prehistoric…or something?
Surely not? I was told Leicester don’t have a pot to piss in and won’t be anything to worry about this season…

Takes quite a while to get so many new signings to gell! MR found that out for the last few years or soOnly Southampton, Leicester, Middlesbrough and Sheffield Wednesday have made less signings than us. Even Preston have made 9 signings. There's been over 100 signings by Championship clubs but most won't register with us at the time as they would only get on our bench at best.
Looking at the list of transfers I don't see a team that look on paper that much stronger
Rowe in reality went last summer. He was out on loan all yearAgreed. Vast majority of teams are just replacing what they've lost.
Same applies to Norwich, who have probably had one of the better windows. They've sold Sainz, Rowe and soon to be Sargent in this window.
They are not gonna get relegated. So strategy is fine.Their strategy is crazy. Can see why it worked in lower leagues but is going to get found out at this level IMO

I doubt internally they are expecting promotion from their first championship season
They may be outsiders for a promotion spot you never know. But I'm sure they will be happy with mid table.
It's only rival fans who see the money and owners that think they are messing up
Wrexham will struggle to achieve anything if their business stays like this.
Looks like their transfer model is run by a couple old boys in the office and a dinosaur manager.
Couple years of lower mid-table getting beat more than winning and they will struggle to sell a doc on it and they’ll end up back where they belong.
They may just want to solidify their place in league first and then start the revolution as contracts end etcIt will work to achieve short-term aims but you could definitely build towards something stronger next year with smarter signings
These players are all approaching the hill on huge contracts & they're already having issues moving on squad players as they know they won't get it as good anywhere else
