Get the manager right and they'll be OK IMO.

Have they got a new gaffer in?
Depends what you mean by OK.

They have too many players and most on big money that are draining their resources. They have already mortgaged this year's Prem money to get through last season and have now mortgaged next year's final payment, most of which is needed to pay this year's wage bill.

It wouldn't be so bad but nobody seems to be interested in their players because of the massive wages. They don't have a striker to take over from Vardy. They do have a new manager now but had to wait for the mortgaged money to pay off van Nistlelrooy. They then got Cifuentes and had to pay 500k to.QPR as he was on gardening leave after applying for the WBA job and not getting it.

So their owner is skint, they're struggling to sell or get rid of anyone, they're already on the last of their Prem payments to keep going although they've just come down and with a manager that's not done a lot 8n the Championship. Morale is rock bottom with players they say are just going through the motions.

Then add to this the points deduction that should happen. If they don't go up this season they will be in serious trouble.

Just googled their manager, has the air of could be good good be a disaster. It really is a bit of a gamble, tho I think maybe he suits a better team if that makes sense

I take in all your points, if they fuck this then they're in big trouble. However they have the potential to be a very good side in this league.

Potential yes. But if Ipswich are as good as they look they will take 1st. That leaves 1 automatic place and a playoff place. I just can't see them being good enough to get over all their issues.

Oh the top two are a stretch, with deductions they could easily hit and boss the playoffs.

If they start slowly I can see them crashing and burning. They're a pretty young squad, their experience is the Belgian side show bob at CB who is fucking awful.

Someone at Disney+ told Ryan Reynolds they can sign the man who set up the winning goal in the Championship playoff final for £4 million and they’ve jumped at the opportunity
He was also a surfer and a good looking lad....

I've managed to secure, through JH some footage of Kiefer as the Silver Surfer
Comic Con Cosplay GIF

Valid points but as it stands they still have a squad that's more than capable of reaching the top 6.

Granted though, it's a squad that needs freshening up - and as you mentioned one that lacks a real goalscorer now Vardy has gone. Other than a soon to be 34 year old Ayew and Madividi I'm not sure where a consistent amount of goals will come from.

If they manage to keep El Khannouss he'll probably be one to watch. I'd imagine he'll be gone though along with Ndidi and Hermansen by the end of the summer.

They have 30 1st team squad players and can only name 24 yet still nobody has left that they want to get rid of. You would think they would have to do this before bringing in the players they will need. They still have over a month but it looks like not a lot will happen until after the season has started.

They should win their first game of the season easily as they have Sheffield Wednesday. If they don't their supporters will go into meltdown. Many of them have already.

They still have a team that any competent manager should be getting 90+ points in this league

The deductions will probably stop them getting top 2 but they'll be favourites going into the play-offs

says he'll take some time to decide his next move!

Seems mad though. The Sheff Weds Chairman blocked his move to Leicester by asking for a huge fee that Leicester refused to pay. He's now walked for free.
I thought there was some link to Leicester. That is very strange. Sheff Wed in all sort of trouble seemingly.
Leicester must also be a bit miffed by that turn of events as well.

Apparently now only one manager who started last season as manager is still there amongst the 18 teams who are in the same league this season

I assume there was some wrangling by the club to pay him as little compensation as possible.
I don’t like to see other clubs being run into the ground…although part of me also think “well hopefully that’s a relegation place taken/6 points in the bag”.
A sorry state of affairs though. We’ve been there and it’s really shit.

I remember this place for years was toxic and just dominated by bile and infighting about SISU, Northampton, wasps, the council etc.

Thank god that’s all in the past so that we now all get on in perfect blissful harmony!
