Every team below 5th needs at least 2 points per game to get to 87 (probably need 88 with goal difference), where on current form CCFC have a 20 pt drop off (currently trending to 107 pts).Do we think we need more points than 87? I think it might be in 90’s
We sustained brilliant form to recover last season for 5th spot, stranger things have happened. In seasons without parachute clubs running away with it though, 90 points or thereabouts should be sufficient.Every team below 5th needs at least 2 points per game to get to 87 (probably need 88 with goal difference), where on current form CCFC have a 20 pt drop off (currently trending to 107 pts).
Which of the teams in 3rd to 5th are likely to achieve more than 87 points and can the likes of Ipswich and Leicester sustain form at more than 2 points per game for the rest of the season?
not sure why he would go there. Step down for sure.Kieran McKenna linked with Celtic
I know that they have been inconsistent this season but I do feel it is a matter of time before they click into gear... A good thing for us if Ipswich lost him?
Not sure, I think a new manager would probably get more out of this group than he is.Kieran McKenna linked with Celtic

Ange is current favourite and available for free.Kieran McKenna linked with Celtic

Domestically yes but they usually play in Europenot sure why he would go there. Step down for sure.
So do Linfield and ShelbourneDomestically yes but they usually play in Europe

that's still better than 75% of the teams in the Premier LeagueIs it really that much of a draw for a prospective manager to feature in Europe now with either Celtic / Rangers?
Certainly for EL and CL the new format makes it considerably harder for them to qualify for the knockout stages - which they were struggling to do anyway.

Rushworth's omission is a surprise.View attachment 46841
what the actual fuck????? none of our players yet O'Hare is and 3 from Oxford!!
They'll pay him a fortune, can't see it though myself. Can’t see McKenna going to Celtic unless I’m missing something obvious. Is there any pressure on him arm due to Ipswich’s start?
Giving away a penalty will have knocked marks off him. The mix up in the first half may have as well.Rushworth's omission is a surprise.

Hardly surprising.Rushworth's omission is a surprise.
If anyone wants a laugh, or quite frankly have their mind blown, read this thread from Birmingham fans discussing whether they'll fill their 62,000 seater stadium.
Some funny comments include them having a 'similar' fan base to West Ham.
They would fill it most Saturdays in the Championship
It doesn't matter if they don't fill it because they can close the top tier and cover it with advertising. Or, give away fans 6000 tickets. 🫨
That they'll fill the stadium with Japanese tourists 🫠.
Wagner actually said we'd fill it every Saturday in the Championship. He wasn't including midweek games because I think he's smart enough to know that wouldn't happen a lot of the time.
It's been striking to see just how many Japanese and Korean fans we have at games now, all kitted out in Blues gear, imagine us in an unbelievable facility, in the Premier League playing against the best, and all affordable. A Blues home game will become one of the the top Football Tourist attractions in Europe.
The West Ham comparison doesn't add up.
West Ham have always had a huge catchment area and fan base spreading well out into Essex. They were getting near 35,000 a game prior to moving. Birmingham are selling out 28,000 regularly for the first time in years.
Birmingham and the surrounding areas is filled with Villa. Generations of Villa fans built over the decades where they've dwarfed Birmingham in success and stature.
West Ham also play in an Olympic stadium in one of the most visited cities in the world
My favourite one is from another thread, and I quote

Sheikh Mansour and Tom Wagner, so many similarities. My favourite one is from another thread, and I quote
"We all know the similarities between our recent journey as a club and that of Manchester City in the early 2000’s"
They have won League 1, currently sit in the bottom half of The Championship and even before their takeover, Man City had 8 domestic honours to their name and were a much bigger club than Birmingham will ever be
