Really detest Sheffield United ever since 1998 (first time I cried over football - my uncle convinced me we were winning the cup that year)

ever since then you’ve got Neil Warnock, and their cunty fans, just really dislike everything about that club…. Not bitter though

We should have went all out for Warnock in the early SISU years

Boy this ref is biased towards utd.

Brum have played tidy this evening, and I reckon they could a midtable team under Bowyer. They do look to be tiring a bit now though.

Apart from the clear penalty he didn't give them?

The handball you mean? I'd need to see it again tbh. But the second shout was a foul on the defender, though you'd wouldn't have thought it from the commentary.

I have been suprised how good and well organised Birmingham have been tonight. Have moved them out of my relegation candidates list.

Yeah, clear handball. I can only think his view was blocked.

Not sure when we play Brum, but at this rate of bookings they'ii be fielding a few U23s.

They're by no means a good team but very effective since Bowyer came in. Play like a lower league side a lot of the times, big, direct, physical & aggressive but that's simply playing to their strengths.
They have some very decent wide players, decent set piece takers, a long throw specialist & some real presence in Jutkiewicz & the CB's.
Honestly, how Karanka fucked it up so badly with them was baffling, he tried to make them something they're not.

Kind of an extension on what I was saying in the post above. Bowyer almost models them on himself, cynical to the maximum. I'm sure most will remember them trying to kick us off the park & that's the norm. They commited the most fouls in the league last season & I'd bet they'll be thereabouts again.
Does mean if you go behind to them though they'll be very difficult to break down as we're seeing tonight.

I have always liked the look of Gardner and think he still has more to offer. I have been impressed with Chong, has an eye for a pass and doesnt shirk his defensive duties. The first thing to move a team forward get them organised and difficult to break down. Birmingham deserved that win.

I had Blues as a maybe to go down, they're like Huddersfield who have been flirting with the bottom 3 for years and will eventually go down. Just like we eventually did.

Seems like it might not be this year.

it hasn’t worried Forest or Birmingham too much, it’s more the fact that it’s just not a massive deal and some of the followings are awful

It's that some people, as in those who are vulnerable, will be wary of going fir some time. That is the reason why crowds are not as high as you would expect considering we have had over a year without being able to go. I think we would be sold out tomorrow if it wasn't for this.

blackburn have always struggled with attendances - it’s a fairly small town with a poor demographic and I’d guess a large ethnic population who are harder to engage in football culture

Also easy to get to as it is close to the centre of Sheffield

Bowyer seems to have done a good job with Blues. Still think they'll be down there though.

The league looks a lot weaker this year IMO.

If I could design a perfect ground it wouldn't be far off Bramall Lane. City centre location, 4 distinct sides, corners not really open, big home end, two tiered at the other end, tight and close enough to keep the noise in, developed in stages so it has a bit of history but still the facilities. Just fantastic.

Sheffield is blessed as Hillsborough is also a brilliant cathedral of football. The latter has the added benefit by not being filled by a load of absolute cunts too.

That's because he's playing as a winger not a wingback. He's been one of their standouts in preseason

First time I went to Bramall Lane it only had three sides the one side was open as Yorkshire played cricket there. It was a massive stadium when you think their record gate is over 68000 just 4000 less than Hillsborough another big stadium with 4 sides.

He seemed to be involved in everything good they did…and putting crosses in from the left and right.

I quite like Blackburn but I stuck a cheeky £10 on them going down a week ago... Think Armstrong will leave (they have lost loads of players already) and Mowbray's traditional slide down the table will start before Xmas this year. I reckon it will be Derby, Peterborough and them to go (Huddersfield staying up by the skin of their teeth because they will concede loads but just about score enough to survive).

I think Blackburn could survive simply because I see Mowbray getting sacked way before his usual slump and someone else coming in a freshening them up. Still going to be down the bottom though.

Not to mention the game at their place when they beat us one nil and we were all over them. It was the same game that Lameiras got folded in half by their player. Youve then got the game at the Ricoh with them kicking off and singing we love Sisu.
