I would also imagine that they way they have conducted this recent business would also make the council very warey.

The council could end up eith SISU as nearly equal business partners. They won't want that.

Look at what SISU do with the leverage they have now

True. SISU/CCFC are joined at the hip. If one fails, so does the other. If one is successful, so is the other. If one saves money, so does the other. This is why I hope the brokered deal is the best possible for Coventry City Football Club.

I cant help the nagging doubt that nothing has really changed.

Seppala has a reputation for playing hard ball, and will take this to the wire. In reality there has been nothing much happen to change her plan and objective. Certainly do not buy into the notion that she has listened to the fans and is prepared to soften her stance. Why would she when she knew all along ACL would have to take action, that hasnt been a surprise to her...... it wont have changed her approach, it is what she has engineered after all. So would she be prepared to compromise her position and settle the matter now ? 11th hour deal maybe, but I suspect there is some stuff going on in the background we are not party to that she feels gives her the advantage

I would expect that attitudes have hardened at ACL, Council & Charity against SISU (not CCFC). Probably a greater sense of unity between the three than ever.

Who will blink first if at all ?

Also because of the Xmas break I wouldnt expect action on Boxing Day it is more likely to be 2nd january. There is still a very real chance of a winding up order.

Hopefully I am wrong, but right now it doesnt feel like it to me. There are going to be a lot of bumps in the road yet. Sorry for not being very optimistic

well both sides need each other. the Acl need Coventry to be in the stadium and this is why there willing to drop the rent as some rent is better than no rent. Also SISU are aware they need to be playing in the Ricoh. Both sides are posturing but the fact that they have got a place were a deal of 400kish is on the table is good. Long term it is hard to deem what affects are in SISU owning the stadium but cutting 800,000 a year from our expenses is massive. When a club starts to get there finances right in terms of wages and rent they can start again.

I want SISU out but currently they are doing there bit for CCFC not saying that wont come back to haunt us but nobody wants a winding up order issued.

You are correct about Selappa's reputation.. I believe she is the sort of person who would not flinch at destroying the Higgs Trust or bankrupt the council if it made money for SISU.

Frankly I hope ACL pull them down.. they are in the right & we need SISU out of here and for (socially and financially) responsible owners to take over the club, our club.

The only good thing is they are all back at the table. I guess Sundays meeting between Seppala and Reeves was the precursor to that happening it certainly wasnt because thats what the fans want although neither side was getting any good press were they! Apart from that nothing has changed and we will still all have to just wait and see what the outcome is.

They may be joined at the hip but that doesn't mean that one is acting in the best interest of the other.

We need a football club, but we don't need to be held to ransom by Sepaala & Co.

Get rid of SISU and run the club on sensible financial lines.

Torch there are plenty of investors out there that will come forward when the time is right.
I would take admin today!!!
Sisu won't liquidate because it would devalue their investment !!!
The sooner admin comes the better then Sisu will have to except a realistic loss on their investment.
Sisu have only themselves to blame why are you always their torch carrier !!!

The bottom line, we know FA what is going on, but still some people on here think they are in the know. All we can do is sit tight, and hope to god they sort something out, we will be the last to know what the outcome is.

Who is saying take the risk? People are just saying they do not trust Sisu and when lots of people wrote to the council that time it was at a time when many people were led to believe there was a credible alternative waiting in the wings.

I still don't want Sisu to have the stadium but I want the best for CCFC. It's a rock and hard place!

Contradiction there. A club should own it's own stadium, even if it makes us more attractive to a future investor/owner. Without it, we will stay as we are - in hock to ACL.

No, but we make no money from the Ricoh whilst losing millions a year, why would anyone invest atm, if the club and the stadium were to come as a package it would make us much more saleable.

I know it's a contradiction. That's why I said it's a rock and a hard place.

I don't believe every club should own a stadium anyway. Not if the owners are not fit and proper to run a company they shouldn't. Surely they need to fit a certain criteria to warrant being owners of a stadium if it's not already in their possession.

Why are they ripping the club off? Why didn't the club do something about the rent years ago? Why weren't you lot screaming for a rent reduction last season? Sisu relegated this club to the 3rd tier and people like you are effectively slapping them on the back. Classy.
