And many fans said they didn't want SISU having the stadium anyway. They even wrote to the Council saying just that. So they, at least, will be happy if that is the outcome of all this.
They are the club. The good of Sisu is the good of the club. The only way to get their money back is CCFC either being profitable or having assets that make it sellable. Either of those outcomes are good for fans.
Agenda isn't about selling but getting a valuable asset in the Ricoh for next to nothing
Sorry, why hasn't someone just bought the lot for peanuts ??spot on you got it there if they get ricoh we will be sold for a profit to sisu. not necessarily for the football clubs benefit
I cant help the nagging doubt that nothing has really changed.
Seppala has a reputation for playing hard ball, and will take this to the wire. In reality there has been nothing much happen to change her plan and objective. Certainly do not buy into the notion that she has listened to the fans and is prepared to soften her stance. Why would she when she knew all along ACL would have to take action, that hasnt been a surprise to her...... it wont have changed her approach, it is what she has engineered after all. So would she be prepared to compromise her position and settle the matter now ? 11th hour deal maybe, but I suspect there is some stuff going on in the background we are not party to that she feels gives her the advantage
I would expect that attitudes have hardened at ACL, Council & Charity against SISU (not CCFC). Probably a greater sense of unity between the three than ever.
Who will blink first if at all ?
Also because of the Xmas break I wouldnt expect action on Boxing Day it is more likely to be 2nd january. There is still a very real chance of a winding up order.
Hopefully I am wrong, but right now it doesnt feel like it to me. There are going to be a lot of bumps in the road yet. Sorry for not being very optimistic
Frankly I hope ACL pull them down.. they are in the right & we need SISU out of here and for (socially and financially) responsible owners to take over the club, our club.
Well, I hope they don't. And neither should you as there is no one else.
True. SISU/CCFC are joined at the hip. If one fails, so does the other. If one is successful, so is the other. If one saves money, so does the other. This is why I hope the brokered deal is the best possible for Coventry City Football Club.
you know that for a fact ?
If there are people waiting in the wings they are hardly going to show their hands until sisu have hung themselves.
Do you really see a future with sisu ?

We lurch from one crisis to embargo and then from embargo to crisis again. Its just one continious cycle with downward spirals !!!
Yeah, Torch worded this wrong.
It 'appears' that there is no-one else. Probably true there isn't, but the bottom line is that none of us know for sure.

Coventry City Football Club isn't something that will evaporate if it is wound up.. something will rise take its place, even if it has to start in a lower legue like Rangers.
We need a football club, but we don't need to be held to ransom by Sepaala & Co.
Get rid of SISU and run the club on sensible financial lines.
Torch there are plenty of investors out there that will come forward when the time is right.
I would take admin today!!!
Sisu won't liquidate because it would devalue their investment !!!
The sooner admin comes the better then Sisu will have to except a realistic loss on their investment.
Sisu have only themselves to blame why are you always their torch carrier !!!
It 'appears' that there is no-one else. Probably true there isn't, but the bottom line is that none of us know for sure.
And we should take the risk then, should we? What would attract a big investor to Coventry City?
I still don't want Sisu to have the stadium but I want the best for CCFC. It's a rock and hard place!
How the hell are people going to know if theres any potential investors out there?? I can't stand this bullshit that its sisu or nobody. Are sisu going to own us for the next 100 years?
Contradiction there. A club should own it's own stadium, even if it makes us more attractive to a future investor/owner. Without it, we will stay as we are - in hock to ACL.
No, but we make no money from the Ricoh whilst losing millions a year, why would anyone invest atm, if the club and the stadium were to come as a package it would make us much more saleable.
I still don't want Sisu to have the stadium but I want the best for CCFC. It's a rock and hard place!
The one thing that is strangling our club is the Sisu debt !!!
What is it currently 40-50million wow we are in worse shit and a division lower than when they took over!!!!
Torch i can't believe you want them to have
the stadium !!!
Yes let sisu buy the ground so they can sell it on at a huge profit, who knows, our new landlord might charge us 2 million rent a year.
No it doesn't it gives SISU greater leverage to recoup their money, which they have lost through bad business. And I can't believe you want your team to go into Administration. Actually, yes I can believe it. You were probably one of the busybodies begging to the local council. I want the club to have the stadium because we instantly become an attractive investment.
Sometimes, I think with the attitude of some fans we actually deserve administration.
