CAUTION: Mild Negativity (14 Viewers)

I know negativity isn’t allowed at the moment but 2 things:

1. It disappointed me that we didn’t push for a winner after equalising last night. Appreciate we’d been pretty pedestrian for most of the evening but I felt a real impetus forming even before we equalised, and we really could have done with the win. Yes, we only needed 1 point but the ‘safely safely’ round the back 3 annoyed me.

2. Why are we hopeless at getting the tempo right for chants? Just becomes a complete mess. Think with one song (can’t remember which now) there were about 4 renditions going at different speeds and different times.

Anyway, we got the point and we’re up. Maybe I’m just annoyed because I have to spend my day building wardrobes rather than celebrating.

I understand the caution after the equaliser, Blackburn had caught us on the break a few times (first half particularly!) and they needed the win a lot more than we did. Was still a little frustrating though, I do agree!

It’s not a unique thing to us with the chants, a much smaller compact away end can orchestrate the songs easier than a massive 7000 two tiered one.

They were clearly of the mindset of securing promotion with the draw and concentrating on securing the title over the next couple of games. If we’d pushed for a winner and ended up losing they’d have been an almighty meltdown on here.
Got the chance at two celebrations rather than one as well

Yeh would be amazing if we conceded at end and we could spend today moaning and bonus we could have missed out on all the media attention we are getting

Does your manager know that you are building wardrobes in works' time?

I think the long hard season and pressure have played into our last 3 performances, and we're not the only team to be fair.
.but we got the main job done, now to secure the league

Lampard said after the game he wanted to do it in front of the away fans, got the Point we needed, job done, no,pressure on us now, win the next 3 and do it in style

I get you but on point 1, if we had gone for it and ended up losing 2-1, what would you say?

“why didn’t we just keep the ball”
We just needed to get over the line. Performance wise was poor and we all know that but it was about getting over the line.

I agree. Thank God there was only five minutes to play out as Blackburn were clearly more than happy with the point and just let us see out the game passing it about in our half. Imagine if there was 20 mins or more of that non activity to endue. I think we had them on the ropes and could have pressed for the winner but as others have said , we could have been hit on the break.

Lad really cross
I would have liked us to have one last attack
Bloke in the pub where I watched it was nearly apoplectic when the guys were keeping possession in the last few minutes and not attacking but the idiom 'a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush' is very aposite to the situation.
