This could be the signing of the summer for us - cut out the the ridiculous avoidable mistakes we’ve been accustomed too lately and it’ll save us a fair few points over the season

If he actually leaves his line from a corner and catches the ball I think I might get a semi.

If it's the 90th minute and we are winning and he falls over and gets an injury from catching it, I might be tipped over the edge.

Ok so if we do actually complete this signing you are prepared to stop being so negative?

Wanting us to sign 1 or 2 players for a couple of million isn’t negative lol, or it won’t make us go bankrupt. He’s a great signing but we now need a RW and a striker and we’re good to go

Let's hope he doesn't take more than 8 secs otherwise it will be another corner under the new rules.

That rule might be enforced for a couple of games at the start of the season, but no more.

Rodri made it back before the end of the season last year - so it’s doable. Depends on seriousness and how they heal I suppose?

He played 8 minutes.

We won’t be risking it at that time of the year.

Have you seen some of the new laws that the body that submits changes is proposing but UEFA don't want ? More VAR involvement ie corner reviews , yellow card reviews if a 2 Nd yellow card , that if a keeper saves a pen then no one can score from the rebound ( as happens in penalty shoot outs currently ).

I have long supported that the captain/manager can call a review on on-field decisions 3 times and retains the review if they're right, loses one if they're wrong. For things like offside, red card etc

Why do they insist on taking the most viewed sport on the planet by a fucking mile and doing everything they can to make it completely fucking unwatchable?

I can only assume it's been hijacked by some double agents from the world of rugby union who want to make it as boring and full of arbitrary rules as their sport

I read that in the voice of Troy McClure.

The final line with progressively slower delivery and a stressed capital 'A' in between 'What' and 'summer'.

I think I’d prefer the loan option. As long as that means we can spend the £5.5m elsewhere. Of course it could be that we signed KKH after our 5.5m was turned down and it is part of the same money.

True. But we could also get loan fees for Rapha and/or Bassette/Obikwu along with the younger players already out on loan, so there's oppertunity for Doug to balance the books (or at least reduce the net cost)

Can you tell us what we might expect from him!?

If he can save shots on target and not get in the way of his own players, we'll all be frothing at the mouth! (We've recently had a horrendous goalkeeping experience having a player called Brad Collins in goal!)

In all seriousness - if I remember rightly - he plays fairly high up, looking to almost be a deeper lying sweeper that you might find in a back three!?

Nothing stood out from a shot stopping/commanding area point of view - but also nothing really bad stood out either!!!

Also, this would hate been around three years ago and I did not realise he was only 24!!

Opinion/observations based on limited viewings.

Bit harsh. Technically Allen is better than Eccles who I always find toe pokes the ball.
