But normally the optimist
Last season we chipped in and had a box
I had the email from commercial with prices of corporate, boxes etc passed it on to the group ,surprised at the response but respect my mates decisions out of 12
2 of us definite yes
5 of us definitely not
5 undecided
Not looking good but there is a lot of time for fans to change their minds
PUSB did not go to shitfields

You were doing so well until the "can't stand SISU" bit...

Can you remove that and replace it with Linnell, Gilbert, The trust, previous owners etc? You can then be classified as a true sky blues fan, and will get lots of likes on here...

I am "bumping" this because I am passionate about CCFC and really believe MR, DB and the recruitment team have done a great job this summer with still more to follow

So, if you are fit and well and are a CCFC fan then invest £20 plus £5 parking ( if you have not already) and get your backside up to St Andrews on Saturday afternoon.

Put aside any politics and support our new young team in skyblue who have a great chance of promotion this season.

It's the first game of the season and an exciting season is to follow. What could be better on an August Saturday afternoon.

Bollox to Wasps, CCC and SISU and PUSB.

My wife thinks me and my dad will change our minds. I just can’t see it. I feel if I went, I’d go too closed-minded, and will make effort to not like it.

Just treat it as an away game and see how it goes. Our group have enjoyed the away games much more over the last 10 seasons or so. It’s August, the footies back and we all love the city. This time of year anything is possible.

got to say, I am really underwhelmed by the thought of going to Brum and I feel this seasons going to be a real slog to get through.
May feel different after a few games but not looking forward to it to be honest.

Yeah, same, but I don't think I am going anyway on Saturday as it stands.

Was looking forwards to the first game, but in general, not at all.

Saturday has a bit of novelty value attached, and if the weather stays nice should be an enjoyable day in Brum, few beers, bite to eat etc, I think the malady will get worse as the season goes on, hope I'm wrong, or better still hope something gets sorted to get us back to Cov.

trouble is for me, where it is is a massive factor.
I know a few people are going Saturday to see if they fancy it or not on-going throughout the season, , I hope they have a great day as that will see them attending more games as we need the support but I'm struggling with the whole thing to be honest.

I just mean I am looking forward to the new football season.

It's pretty easy to put where it is to the side to go and watch, just as if its a bit of an away day.

the test will be a cold Tuesday in February after a shit run of results!

for you, but not for me.
I'll still be there because I want to support MR and the boys and to stick two fingers up to the cartel but it's with a heavy heart.
That might change after Saturday, I might never want to come back! Who knows?

I am more excited about the start of this season than I have been for the previous few.

Of course I wish we were in Coventry (and in an ideal world not the Ricoh), but we aren’t. We can’t control that, but we can control supporting the team.

MR has built a strong exciting team, which I’m really looking forward to seeing.

Birmingham is a change for everyone, and most do not like change. However, I’m seeing it as an adventure and catalyst to support the team even more. Attendances will be lower, but I expect there to be more of a unity amongst fans; CCFC against the world (melodramatic as that sounds).

Forget everything surrounding the move, just support the team.

But it is not just about change. It surely depends what the change is and the degree of the change. A change can be good or bad.

If the game was at the Ricoh on Saturday I could have gone. It is at St. Andrews though and now I can't.

It does, but we all know what the change is and have done for months now. I don’t like it, as I say I wish we were in Coventry, but I can’t do anything about it, so I’ve adapted to it. I encourage people to do the same. Don’t let the fact it is a bad change dissuade you without trying it.

Notwithstanding the fact I completely accept some people can’t go due to personal reasons (transport, travel, finances etc) and that’s unfortunate. But in my view, those that can; should.

Yeah, well that's it. Some of us live in Coventry and have commitments in Coventry and appointments in Coventry and when things come up, more often than not they are in Coventry.

My mum is in hospital in University Hospital. Had we been at the Ricoh I could have made the match, just, but now I can't.

And I HAVE a season ticket, so that can be galling.

Yes and the example of your Mum falls under the personal reasons category I mentioned.

I would question the appointments and commitments point though. Excluding last minute, unplanned or urgent events, appointments can be worked around our home games, be that in Birmingham or the Ricoh.

We have had this conversation before on here, not you and I but in general.

For me it is going to take me a hell of a lot longer to get to St Andrews. My day is going to be much longer. It IS a factor.

Fair enough, let’s not have it again it then.

I appreciate travel will be a factor, be that in a positive or negative way. Unfortunately for you it is negative, but that make it even more impressive you’ve purchased a ST.

I’m going to have a tricky call myself in a few weeks; we have a home game a few days before my baby is due.....

Just checked google maps and St. Andrews is only 6,714km which is 22km closer for me than the Ricoh.
I’m still not going!
