Save of the game maybe? Burton keeper keeps out Maddison shot from distance. Great stop

If it carries on like this. When Ramage is match fit. I can see Stokes staying at CB and Ricketts moving out to RB.
Which would be a shame as I really hoped Phillips would develop well

Game for both keepers this. RCC called into action after we fall asleep at a corner. Great low save

Surely lameries will be withdrawn at half time. I cannot see what people see in him.

Ramage looks quite rusty but granted he's not played much does need to be the Right sided CB, a bit like Ricketts and we can't have them both there so yes id agree with that change once he's fitter

Not bad their keeper much busier and could have scored

Lameries hasn't been to bad I don't think, great ball for armstrong just then

We are getting closed down far too easily. Play is quite slow when in possession. Few chances created by both but keepers earnings their wage
Massive improvement needed if we're to get the result we need

He's having a poor game for sure.

Murphy too not in the game at first, but finding a bit more time and space inside as the half wore on.

JOB or Cole for Lameiras if it stays like this.

Overall not great.

Maddison is dominating the middle and Armstrong is trying to make something happen. Other than that it's pretty sterile.

Murphy is struggling and I am not sure of the wisdom of using him to defend near post corners but he is far more creative than Lameries who offers little. One pass near the end but a host of misplaced passes and possession.

Ramage has slotted in well. We need another centre half and get Ricketts back to full back.

Burton are physically strong and can keep possession.

Burton very hard to break down and they seem like they have set up for a point with the hope of something on the counter.

We were the better side and shots on target. Burton offering nothing. 10 men behind the ball at all times.

Need to force the issue here with results against us.

Murphy has been poor, Lameiras is making a few mistakes. I would like to see Murphy depart for Jim personally though.

I'd say lameiras not bad. Murphy easily the least effective player first half

Agreed.

The few times we have threatened them has been a result of running at/behind them. If we quicken the tempo we have a real chance of scoring. Easier said than done I know.

Underwhelming. Burton here for point and we don't look like we have the ideas. I think if Maddison looks to play rather than looks to go down we could break them down. He has the ability but sometimes looks far too lightweight. Fleck looking busy and purposeful and defence ok so far. RCC and their keeper have pulled off great saves. Here's hoping for a second half like we had against peterboro

Murphy isn't in the game at all, but bringing him off removes all midfield pace.

Murphy seems as though he has his mind on something else.. i think Lameiras is being hampered by Phillips created a few chances but straight at their keeper who pulled off a good save from Maddison

On more than one occasion this season Murphy has been ineffective in the first half, but has grown into the game.
Persevere with him for the first 20 minutes of the second half.

Cross comes in, phillips bizarrely chooses to chest it back to RCC who comes out but there is a striker clearly in between them, presumably no shout by RCC and its out past him easily

1-0 Burton

That's was awful. What was Phillips doing?

We're far too ponderous in possession.
