Who are Bristol Rivers? And are we all getting a boat down there?

Chaplin to find his scoring touch twice in this one. City to win 0-2

This is another ground where we had an utter horror show last time we were in league 1. Hopefully we put it right like we did Oxford. Keep the same side.

Maybe go with the team that all but finished the game, Kelly in for Shipley and Bayliss out wide.

Nah. Keep bayliss in middle. He did well today there

Allasani or hiwula for Shipley but it ain't gonna happen. Robin's was bogging up Shipley performance saying he does stuff fans don't see so no way he's being dropped.

I am sure he works harder defensively bit was still poor today

He's important to the shape of the team so can see why Robins picks him. Hiwula was hopeless wide left and Alessani will be eased in, big step up for him from the level he was playing at

Hiwula was fine first game

I understand robin's thinking just think Shipley is playing poor

Hopefully he gets to grips with league 1 soon

Shipley finds great space on the pitch, but it just didn't happen for him today. A bit like when we suffer when Doyle is missing, we seem to function better as a team when Shipley is playing (whether he has a good game or not!)

He certainly didn't have a good game today and I'm saying that as a fan of his.

would be happy with a draw but maybe given their poor start perhaps I should be thinking a bit more ambitiously.

Yep. A dominant, well deserved victory would be lovely.

After Barnsley, encouraged to think we need to aim for a win. Pointless beating the good teams to then lose to the... less good.

Would like to see allassani out wide in place of shippers. Think aside that the side needs to stay together as starting to gel now. Thought jch and cc worked well together

They did.

Shipley had a poor game on Saturday to my mind, but he does help bring balance and shape to that left side.

Think he will stay in.

Would be great to get a win here as it would take a lot of pressure off for the following home games against Sunderland and Portsmouth. Would be 3 league wins in row though - something we only managed once last year.

Would be good to have beaten all the bottom three though. Get rid of the habit from last season.

Was just thinking the same re; 3 wins on the bounce. We rarely put a big run together last year, despite promotion. We obviously have an inbuilt capacity to bounce back after defeats (that's an optimistic version of being inconsistent!)

15 league losses last season. W7 (47%), D3 (20%), L5 (33%) in the subsequent fixtures

Keep the same team as Saturday, Shipley didn't have the best game v Barnsley but this will be a game won by hard work and most likely a scrappy deflected goal.

Expect us to keep our shape and not be overly expansive in the first 45, then have a good go in the second.

Agree. Shipley puts in the "hard yards" and does more off the ball than he is given credit for me in my opinion
Same staring line up as Barnsley game

no point doing the hard yards if you then let someone run past you as if you are not here mind

not that he does it all time of course.

Not a problem if he is not here, as long as he is there.

Shipley makes running the yards look hard. Far too slow.
