At the end of the day nobody can question his ability, if Robins and Viveash thinks it's worth the risk, then I'm all for it.

Wigan, Wolves, Peterborough all did and showed him the door

We'll see won't we. Might come off, might not- but at this stage Robins has earned the right to have some trust that he knows what he's doing- he might himself see it as a punt where we'll get a few extra points then he's gone, he might be ok with that.

Anyway- is it actually confirmed that he is coming?

Everyone he played with said he was easily the best player they've played with. If Robins can tap into what we had before, hes one hell of a player.

I think the big difference this time is that MR won’t be looking to build a team around him…as he may have done last time. Would be a great impact sub, and if he offers more all the better.
If it doesn’t work out Bright can have another ‘contract terminated by mutual consent’ to add to his CV.

Also we thought this about JCH, showed him the door, now look at him, players play differently at certain clubs.

Pretty much sums it up perfectly

There is zero pressure on us, there is a lot of pressure on Bright, f**k up again and surely his career is pretty much over

Sorry to ask this but if we sign Bright does he count as a foreign signing?

In fairness, it might not be they questioned his ability, more they questioned if the ability was worth the off-field antics. Just because someone doesn't sign someone/releases someone, doesn't necessarily mean they don't rate their ability. Ferguson always said that Ravel Morrison was the most gifted young player he'd ever seen, so he clearly rated his ability, but his off-field antics and the crowd he hung out with meant he didn't see him as worth pursuing, and from his career to date, he was right. If Robins takes the risk, let's hope Bright proves us all wrong.

Yes he was erratic and constantly out of position. The one player he linked very well with is gone.

You think the penny might drop as he gets a bit older G? I wouldn't be against it if he was relatively cheap, we do need a squad after all and perhaps shown enough to be worth a risk? More so than some dodgy foreign imports mentioned above for sure.

Every player said that? Even Hiwula who played for 3 years at Man City? Blimey?

Alright, let be pedantic, not everyone, but from the interviews of a couple of players. Theres no way from watching him (if you do actually watch games mind, still debatable) that you don't think there is a good player in there.

His contract has to be water tight if we do sign him so we can get out if he starts playing up again. He’s obviously got the ability, just hope he’s realised he needs a good attitude to go with it.

I don’t think his ability can be questioned. He has great feet, an eye for goal and has that unpredictability that can bamboozle opponents (and sometimes teammates!).

We shall see if he can do it at this level

I suppose this is set up perfectly for a Biamou obsession replacement for you.

The key of the club will be in the detail of his contract [if he's signed]. We need numerous exit clauses inserted that allows the club to cancel the contract with no or little financial penalties.
It'll be great if Bright has evolved into a more professional person, but I have my doubts. Hopefully, he'll prove me wrong and in the meantime I expect the senior players to "have a chat" with him about what being a member of this squad means.

Don't think it will happen. If it does it will be a gamble by robins but not a killer if it fails.

Yeah but why did he only play 1 game in Greece before his contract was terminated?

Really fail to understand Robins' logic behind this if it's true.

In all reality any players with significant craft and ability will only be accessible to clubs like Coventry if they also have well known underlying issues ie: recurring injury concerns, questionable lifestyle, attitude problems Etc.
Should this move happen I would trust Robins and his team to be confident they can manage the player and get the best out of him for the club, and if they can’t II would also trust them to have brokered a deal where by the club can drop the player with minimal fuss to the team and financial hit to the club.
if it happens it could easily prove to be an inspired signing and the difference between mid table and a serious push for the playoffs.

I think the lad is at a point where he needs to decide whether or not he wants a career in the game and I hope his agent is telling him that. If he has decided he does, and is capable of change, he might still have a chance but its probably his last.
I trust in MR if he thinks he can manage him.

Mad amount of pages of "debate" over a tenuous internet link to a former loan player, cant believe its generated this amount of Interest.

I really think we should just drop it, until he at least signs for someone.

Being selfish, I never saw him live so just want to see what all the fuss is about. We need a new meme player.
