Most have seen significant decline. From our current status non league seems the likely outcome from such an action. Hardly a desired ending most supporters would want it avoided at all cost.

It's what drove Thorn to leave for PSG. Seppala offering a pitiful £150m summer budget which was never enough to claw back both Platt and Nimely from the Nou Camp. Even with £500k from food and beverages.

The satire is aimed at you by the way-if the club was riding high in the top flight a poxy £1m a year rent wouldn't be on the agenda.

Really? A court of law with no axe to grind found against SISU; they would do exactly the same if we were in the top flight, it's the law, it's as objective as you'll find anything. Do you not believe in following this nation's laws?

Irrelevant. If the will and desire was there evidence from other similar situations suggest the council could back down.

Continuation of football without penalty would be the logical desired outcome.

Only in Coventry is there a moral high ground taken.

It just pisses me off now the waiting list for season tickets is now 2 years - always said the Ricoh wasn't big enough. Bloody council should do that second extension to 65000 as 45000 is clearly not enough. Damn you Lord Mutton

Well we are such a massive club, some might even call us sleeping giants....attracting 30k at £5 a ticket and a ticket stub for a potential wembley trip shows you what a big club we are.......

Does my head in Jan. What was Richardson thinking designing something with a 32,500 capacity.

The point is hypocrisy. Morality would go out if the window with success. The more relevant argument them is if the club wanted full ownership and the council insisted on too high a selling price.

There would be outrage. There is outrage now against the club only due to unpopular owners. The actual issue is irrelevant.

No vision - just thankfully w Sir Kenneth Dulieu back at the helm things have gone from strength to strength. His plan for drilling for oil in the Tesco stand was laughed at but who's laughing now

You were talking about success=reward (albeit on a computer game). SISU gambled on success and had no back up plan. Needing guaranteed success to make money is no business plan!

That wasn't what my post was about, it was strictly to do with billionaires taking over big clubs, and getting them to tin the league etc.

You don't think that might just have something to do with our owners and how they've acted in the past three years?

And no, not irrelevant, actually-do you really think a court of law would have reached a different judgement if we were a Premiership club? And you'd dismiss as irrelevant the judgement of a court of law-what motive do they have to act unjustly against SISU?

FFS - instead of going round in circles, can all parties supposedly involved in the management and future of CCFC adopt the following policies:

- put CCFC above all else, it's the only reason we are all here
- leave bruised ego's, personalities, spouting to the media, voters and personal interests to one side
- act like the responsible leaders and business professionals you are meant to be
- get round the negotiating table and don't leave until an agreement is reached
- agree on a press statement we can all understand and move on from

Only then can we concentrate fully on what we are all here for - a successful CCFC

This is what most fans don't understand. It's not about what we want, it's about the deal SISU have in place already with ACL. The deal they accepted when they bought the club. No one forced them to buy CCFC after all. SISU did not do their due dilligence when they bought the club crying over spilt milk won't help. If this is the best deal the council will do then SISU have to accept it or sell the club. Pretty simple really.

What some people think is that ACL are in the right because we did our own legs with a duff deal. I fail to understand why the poor decisions of the past give so many fans glee at oor plight. I hate sisu but am beginning to hate the council more. We ost out on the tesco deal so you could say they owe us. As a CCFC fan my only loyalty is to the club despite who owns them. I cannot understand this self righteous "the council are in the right drivel"

Well said.

Too many fans are being disloyal to CCFC because of the ownership, if it were Hoffman, or anyone else, for starters, ACL would be more reasonable, and the fans would side with the club, if SISU weren't owners, ACL supports would be one quarter of what it is now, take the blinkers off now.

Spot on.

If we had owners who didn't lie, didn't lurch from one disaster to another, didn't take a business at its lowest point in 45 years and still manage to make it worse, and who acted in a reasonable way when it come to negeotiations, then I would trust the clubs side of the story when it comes to the rent issue.

How can I side with sisu though, after all their mistakes, against a Council and Charity which, may not always gets it right, always has this City at heart.

Question for torch and Grendel.
Just say you won 10million on the lottery would you buy the Higgs share then give it to the club ?

Politicians are at least democratically elected and more accountable than SISU; you've already admitted that you don't care for the legal system's judgements, are you now saying that you don't approve of Democracy?

Their share was only purchased at £6 million so that is all we would pay. Also we have both said nasty things about Jon mutton so no doubt he would excercise the council veto against us. That's democracy in action for you.

That's an irrelevant statement. Sisu purchased shares to buy the club. As 100% of shareholders agreed this I would say that is pure democracy - wouldn't you agree?

Exactly what I thought when you suggested I was a Thatcherite.

I bet you could not guarantee you would be on the side of ACL if the owners weren't SISU.
