These are all mid to low championship/League one standard players...therefore the bulk of our squad is strong.

We lack strength/depth in goal and in central midfield atm. This may or may not be dealt with by Pressley.

Which ones are mid championship players (possibly nouble)? And what is that based on?

Hines, Johnson, Madine, Nouble and Jackson have all played games at that 'level'. Don't read too much into that, I possibly should have described them as 'better than league one'

So what?! How many PL and International games had Kilbane played? That didn't make him a PL standard player when he played with us.

Most on that list above have proven to be not good enough for that level, which I why they find themselves playing for us.

Don't compare them to Kilbane. I'm basing it on my interpretation of their ability after watching them play for us and their previous clubs.

Cov Boy? He is from brum I believe and yes fair play to him.
But if people truly believe we have a stronger squad then last season fair enough?
I don't.
Look where we finished last season even with the 10 points added on.

Like I have said before what have Nouble, Mcuoid and coulibaly done before they come here? Coulibaly is an extremely poor player from what I have seen how anyone can rate him seen better playing for the Alvis. Even Swanson who I thought was a good signing has been struggling in this league. can't give all these players time to fit in they need to hit the ground running.

Firstly, they didn't sell nearly the whole of their first team, so that's crap, and what people are trying to explain to you is, whoever you buy to replace departed players, are a gamble. Southampton weren't to know Pelle would bang the goals in or Wanyama would make such an impact. Even Koeman says he's surprised. We have replaced Wilson and Clarke with different strikers, but atm its not working out. That could easily have happened at Southampton.

Sometimes I wonder if you're genuinely thick, or just disagreeing for disagreements sake.

Me thick?

You said that whoever you buy to replace players sold is a gamble. So who did we buy?

We got millions for selling our strikers. We keep signing more strikers for free or loan trying to replace them. But we would be much better off signing a keeper, big defenders and attacking midfielders. But no we are still looking for a cheapo striker.

And I am said to be thick for noticing.

Yes we didn't want Ronaldo because it was a gamble. Good job really would be shit in this team as he would get no chances be on the bench and can't play 5-3-2.

Remind me how much we paid for Clarke, Wilson and Mcgoldrick, and how much we paid for Eastwood and McDonald. Paying a fee doesn't guarantee performances and goals.

Very few things in this life guarantee anything.

If however, you are trying to suggest that there is little or no link between spending money on players and the chance of them being successful, I'd suggest you have a word with the owners of Man Utd, Chelsea, Man City, Real Madrid etc. You could save them a fortune!

Fair play to the lad. He's making the "£3.5M is good for a potential 1 season wonder" quotes that were flying around look silly. I hope it was £3.5M + add ons otherwise we were robbed.

Like LETS pointed out. Would we be serious promotion contenders if he was still here? I would bet on yes. Does anyone know how much promotion to the Championship is worth? Again if its more than £3.5M we were robbed and thats before you include the extra ticket and assotiated revenue we would be getting if we were promotion contenders playing in the same style we started last season with.

I doubt that he would have wanted to stay here. Bournemouth are a club on the way up, we are still a club in decline.

Don't run away just because some one can't make a constructive comment.

Fuck me been called worse before.

Just a shame that we have all been dragged down to this level due to the horrendous circumstances we find our club in.

We all have our opinions mostly we are all right in some degree just can't agree on the percentage of blame of the main players.

I is a shame as we are all City fans at the end of the day.

The rot set in long before sisu even came to the club, I am not even sure it is ever going to be able to to be undone. Yet they are our club and always will be, so all we can do is support the manager and players as best we can do.

You can't compare 2 of the most globally appealing clubs and the richest club, with how much money we can afford to spend. Of course if you spend 80 million on a player you'd expect him to produce. Look at Balotelli though, 16 million and he's crap. Like I say money doesn't guarantee performance.

Funny how none of us actually give a fuck on matchdays some of us even sit next to each other drink together?
.
TBF if we were top of the league all would be hunky dory.

It would have been a poor career move by Wilson to stay here. Now he has a real shot at playing Premier League football, either with Bournemouth or with another team, and he's been called up for the England U21s.

Have a look at the squads of other teams (especially the ones doing well e.g. Swindon, Notts County, Rochdale and Oldham) and you would have to concede that we currently have a strong squad. I'm sure if you asked messieurs Cooper, Derry, Hill and Johnson they would admit we have a stronger squad then their teams (And many others in this division). Fact is for the first 14 games it was being mismanaged by Pressley, now that he has changed the system (allowing the players to show their true ability) we should pick up and start to put in consistently good performances. This appears to have started by beating Peterborough (2nd in the league at the time) and drawing with an ever improving and stronger Orient side. Admittedly the goalkeeper situation is one that may need to be looked at in the near future (if Burge doesn't begin to perform), and we would all love a central midfielder, which to his credit (And lord knows I haven't given him much this season) Pressley is looking into as the Haroun trial showed.

I'm sure they look at our squad and think Haynes who? Willis who? Hines who? Thomas who? Phillips who? Barton who? Swanson who? Martin who? Burge who? Allsop who? Mcqoid who? Fleck who? Maddison who? Miller who? Oh yeah I've heard of tudguy he's a good player because I've heard of him.

To be honest I've always thought this was a particular issue of our fans, even back in the championship over egging our squad because we know the players and not rating a lot of other teams squad because we've never heard of them. League one and a lot of championship footballers are not household names, we're bound not to have heard of most in this league.
